I was especially disappointed with the outright rejection of ABO in season 2! (I haven't read the book, so maybe that's what happened?) My actual comment is that I thought they were using Mok's character to tee up the point that women are, in fact, capable. Thus the follow up response about gender. Let's not pretend like a comment like that isn't based on sexism; shock at a female bodyguard has its roots firmly planted in the patriarchy. I assumed Chae was a sub from the first scene and that this was a dom/sub relationship from their first interaction and definitely after the first NC scene. I know elsewhere in these comments folks were getting in their feelings acting like it was SA, when I think it was just Chae giving Tae permission to dominate him (now confirmed while sober). From this thread, it sounds like that's not as originally written, but the sequence still makes sense to me. And while I'm happy to interpret myself, I do wish they had allowed more time for the story to lead me closer to the author's intended conclusions instead.
