Hierarchy: A Letdown

"Hierarchy" contains familiar K-drama elements: relentless bullying, unsolved murder, ultra-rich high school students, a poor student seeking revenge, drug and power abuse, and inattentive parents, similar to "Penthouse," "Sky Castle," and "Revenge of Others." However, it disappoints on multiple fronts. The story starts slow and only gains pace in the last two episodes, where the rushed and lackluster revenge plot finally begins. The ending feels abrupt and unsatisfying, leaving viewers with a sense of missed potential.

The characters are underdeveloped, making it hard to invest in their journeys. Despite a talented cast and high production values, the drama's exploration of heavy themes remains superficial, used more as plot devices than for serious commentary.
Nonetheless, I liked the male leads acting. If I could complete the drama it was because of them.

Overall, "Hierarchy" squanders its promising premise, failing to deliver a compelling or engaging narrative, and ends up being a waste of time for viewers expecting a gripping drama.

Little Red Riding Hood and Cinderella with a twist...

The cast was really good, especially Kirei Miritani, I didn't expect her to be part of this film. I watched it when I saw that Yuko was part of the cast.
There were some loopholes in the story, but still I had not have the faintest idea as to who was murderer.
This was really a fresh take on the stories that we watched growing up.
Some questions still remain:
Did Red have special power or was that her intuition?
Why did the King let everyone go when the murderer wasn't cleary caught during the ball?

Manga in real life!

This is the best adaptation of any anime or manga by Netflix. Been a huge fan of Naruto, I have always known about how popular is One Piece, but I did not know a bit of storyline not even that One Piece is actually a treasure. Never watched anime or read manga of One Piece, I decided to give this series a shot , and it was worth it. Stellar performances by stellar actors, and best setting, really!
I would watch it again if I ever want to repeat anything.
Even the songs are the best of all.

Piecing Together the Shattered Mind!

As a fan of longer dramas, I usually avoid movies, but "Recalled" defied my expectations. This South Korean psychological thriller, directed by Seo Yoo-min, masterfully blends mystery and suspense. The story follows Kim Soo-jin, portrayed by the talented Seo Yea-ji, who wakes up with no memory and experiences unsettling visions. These visions blur reality and illusion, hinting at a dark truth.

The plot twists in "Recalled" are brilliantly executed, reshaping the narrative in unexpected ways. Seo Yea-ji's portrayal of Soo-jin is compelling and believable, capturing her vulnerability and confusion. Her performance is the film's highlight, driving its emotional impact.

While the supporting cast is competent, they don't leave a lasting impression. However, the focus on Soo-jin's character keeps the narrative engaging. The screenplay is tightly written, and the cinematography enhances the story's atmosphere.

"Recalled" keeps the audience guessing with its unpredictable plot twists. Each revelation is well-earned, making the film a thrilling experience. For someone who prefers dramas, "Recalled" stands out as an exceptional movie that delivers the satisfaction of a longer format within its concise runtime. I highly recommend it for its suspense and substance.

Skip it or Drop it!

I would never recommend this drama to anyone.
It starts off brilliantly with the fascinating "life-span clock" concept, and the chemistry between the actors is good. However, the characters of the ex-girlfriend and Doha's fiancée were overdone.
I began watching it when it was still ingoing because of Lee Sung Kyung, inspired by her previous work "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Jo", but it turned out to be a waste of time and a disappointment.
The ending was confusing, and there were several plot holes that needed closure and explanation.
I couldn't stop watching this drama because I hadn't yet learned how to let go of things I don't like.
All of this is my opinion!

Love and Hate Relationship With the Movie!

One of my very first K-movie, and the first work of Ha Jiwon that I watched.
The movie is not boring or slow paced. It have got a good story but not entirely unpredictability. The acting was very convincing.
Only thing I didn't like were some quite unhygienic scenes, they continue to traumatize me till today. That's why, I'd never watch it again.
Overall, it was a good movie.

Music, Grief, Youth, Redemption

I never watched the anime because I never had the courage to do so.
But I had to watch this movie since it's a Kento starrer.
This movie was packed with emotions and it made me cry scene after scene. The actors performed really well and the movie was fast paced. The movie was good enough to make me fall in love with the characters and compelled me to watch the anime.

From Page to Screen: Disappointing Live Action

From manga to screen, "Wolf Girl and Black Prince" undergoes a transformation that may leave fans of the original manga with mixed feelings. Kento Yamazaki delivers a compelling portrayal of Kyōya Sata, capturing the enigmatic and sometimes sadistic nature of his character with precision. His performance stands out as one of the film's strengths, showcasing his ability to embody complex manga characters on screen.

Opposite Yamazaki, Fumi Nikaidō brings Erika Shinohara to life with charm and authenticity. Their chemistry is perfect, synchronized, and fully replicate the depth seen in the manga's depiction of their relationship. The film's cinematography and direction often fall short, particularly in pivotal emotional scenes where the camera work fails to enhance the narrative's impact.

Despite its shortcomings, "Wolf Girl and Black Prince" offers moments of genuine emotion, notably when Erika splashes water onto Sata's face—a scene that encapsulates their tumultuous dynamic.
While fans of the manga may appreciate seeing their favorite characters on screen, the adaptation ultimately struggles to capture the depth and nuance of its source material.

Unraveling Justice: A Gripping Tale of Loss and Retribution

A much needed comeback of the talented actress Kim Nam Joo!!
Brilliant acting of Cha Eun Woo never seen before!!
This drama was filled with emotions, repentance, and forgiveness.
The best thing was the platonic relationship between Soo Hyun and Seon Yul played respectively by Kim Nam Joo and Cha Eun Woo.
The investigation was very smooth within the drama and any part never felt out of place or pace.
The ending was the best that anyone could have asked for.

Reborn Rich: A Epic Journey of Revenge and Rebirth

"Reborn Rich" offers a fresh twist on the familiar themes of time travel and body swapping, featuring our beloved Song Joong-Ki in a dual role. Yoon Hyun-Woo has served the Soonyang Conglomerate for over a decade, only to be betrayed and shot. Miraculously, he awakens in the body of Jin Do-Jun, the conglomerate's youngest grandson. This drama brilliantly intertwines historical events with Hyun-Woo's quest for revenge, as he uses his knowledge from his previous life to outmaneuver those who wronged him and to take over the corporation.

The nostalgia of revisiting past events adds depth to the storyline, although the extensive Soonyang family can be challenging to keep track of initially. The plot, while engaging, has some holes, but for those who watch dramas for pleasure and escapism, these can be easily overlooked.

The standout performance comes from Lee Sung-Min, who plays the formidable Jin Yang-Cheol, the patriarch of the Soonyang family. His portrayal of a man whose true passion is his company adds a compelling layer to the narrative.

"Reborn Rich" is a must-watch for fans of time travel and body-swapping dramas.

Started watching this drama for YamaKen, but unexpectedly found some actors I already knew and loved: Matsuzaka Tori, Matsuhige (the one who played father), and Honoka Miki (the Itazura girl)...
The plot was convincing and kept me on the edge of the seat. The plot twist it was something I didn't even think of. It was maybe I finished the drama in two sitting.
Another thing that you may also love is that duration of episode is just 20-22 mins.
I'd highly recommend this drama if you are a J-Drama fan.
By the way, I liked the acting and I'm quite comfortable with it, but some people may find it bit unrealistic.
One thing that I love about Japanese content is that, unlike Korean Content, they deal with different subjects, and aspects of life.

Suzy's back and this time with Doona!

It was bit hard for me to finish the first episode, but when I got hang of it, it was really difficult to say goodbye.
I'd recommend that YOU watch it!
The only thing I did not like was too much smoking. Netflix have really infected the Korean shows as well. No one can deny the amount of bare skin they show, and almost every other character smoking. Overall, it was a decent show.
The ending was not tricky to get as each episode had bits of ending scenes. So safe to say, it was a happy ending for me.

Go and watch it! I beg you!

So this drama is by far the best rom com of the year and years to come.
So many butterflies in stomach.... Rowoon ❤️❤️
The cute lead actor and when he can't keep his act together.
This was also reunion of BoAh and TaeRi as they had previously worked together in Tale of NineTailed.
The story is amazing and the chemistry is ufffff... Been a long time that I watched the chemistry of leads on this level. I could not help but smiling while watching this drama like a fool.
On a side note, the second male lead was quite annoying.

"I once loved a woman named Ren Anle, but in this life I'll protect Di Ziyuan."

Cast:
Dilraba Dilmurat ❤️
Gong Jun ❤️

Story:
Ren Anle returns to seek revenge on behalf of her clan and her family's army.

My take:
The story was really good, and could have been wraped in less episodes. There were various revelations, and they could have been revealed more elegantly. It was as if they were revealed in sequences. The dialogues were not too catchy. I loved the start where Ren Anle was flirty and playful. I also loved Wen Shou's character development. But I certainly did not root for Lou Mingxi. Though the character of Di Cheng'en was not likeable, but she received a proper closure.
