he was never actually the 1st ml in the book but he was the first guy she knew since she knew him since they were children. even though they mention 4th ML he was also actually a supporting character. There were 3 volumes for the book and each volume was a specific title referring to one ml, Lost You Forever is for her cousin/friend because he will never be able to have her even if he can never let go of his love for her. in the early episodes of the drama we are introduced to them all at the same time and she will spend time individually with them later on too

Hidden Love is based on the author's real life story where her own story doesn't have a happy ending and she wrote Hidden Love to give it the FAIRY TALE ending that she wanted. Hidden Love follows the novel closely so if you didn't like Hidden Love's story as much then just blame the author, she already gave you the story you liked in WIFTY

it seems like a lot of encounters when she was young but he was a busy uni student , it only showed her experiences so you can count on one hand when she was 14 n 17 (aside from the tutoring) and then she gave up on him and then he met her again later on . His life had absolutely no room for romance
in short this is a simple love story / modern fairy tale, she liked him, he was her wish. He never knew it, hence "hidden love"
