I started watching this without much expectations, but then I fell in love with it. Daou and Offroad might be rookie actors, but they played their roles perfectly. Even their kisses and intimate scenes were realistic. I love how they cast Daou who has Chinese origins to portray Yang. Offroad is such a cutie-pie. Sam who played as Odo was such an interesting character and I wish Sam gets more roles. I was impressed by Ngern...it was such a long time after I seen him. Phojai character was best - he always helped and worried about his brother. I really loved the show.
I added this to my watchlist five years ago and forgot about it. At that time, the rating was around 8. Recently, I came across several Myung Soo clips on IG and decided to watch it just for the sake of seeing my cute PHS. Didn't really like any of the main characters and I didn't find myself rooting for the main couple. I hated Eun Sang because she was as cruel as her sister to leave her helpless mom alone and go to America. And I also felt like she was emphasizing now and then how poor and miserable her life is. Kim Tan and Young Do were both scary - one kept pursuing the girl even though that he is making her life hard and one downright bullied her because he liked her! The only people I liked - Kim Tan and Eun Sang's mom, the lovebirds Bo Na and Chan Young, Myung Soo and Hyo Shin. At first, I thought Bo Na was one rude and obsessive gf. But when I realized Chan Young liked her and found her jealousy cute, I was drawn to this pair. Hyo Shin was a sweetheart, but Rachel was such a pathetic b*tch. The ending kinda fell flat for me - I thought that there will be a serious Won and Tan fighting for the crown, but no - Tan only fought for his love. Even the romance was mediocre. No justice to the title. Tan mentioned that he was the one started the bullying and Young Do followed. I was hoping for an explanation how two middle school kids became bullies. But that was not explained, they only explained the friends falling out. And why show Chan Young's dad's affair with Rachel's mom when there is no future for their relationship? Completely unnecessary. Till 15 episode, I watched in 1.5x and only after that things became little interesting but finale was rushed. They chose the right cast for Won and Tan because they really could pass as siblings. Overall: 7/10
Watched it for the third time. And I still love every moment of it. Why do all males who dress up as females look so pretty? And this might be the only show where a girl keeps her ugly appearance(not that she was uglier than me) unlike rather than transform into a pretty woman in the end. Si Tu Feng fell in love with her tomboy appearance and she maintained it till the end. The ending scene where they both miss out on each other as Qingqing goes to find Si Tu Feng and vice versa...it still makes me cry. I don't know why...this used to have a rating above 8, now it has dropped - maybe people find this show cringey today but I still find it as a lovely story.
and your dream became true. we are getting Krist Singto back. They will star in the drama The Ex morning.
In GMMTV official YouTube page, they have released the trailers of all the series that would be airing in second half of 2024. There are so many great series airing this year.
Japanese BLs always hit different. I am so much deeply moved by their love. Even at the young age, Ren took all the blame to protect Kazuma. It is so horrifying that how he was abandoned by his family and sent to a place where he doesn't know anybody and he can't speak the language. It must have been so hard for him. And Kazuma, the moment he wakes up from his illness, he wants to know where is Ren. If not for the both families, they could have talked it out. Ren's life had been so dark. The actors and even the child actors did their roles so well. Such a good BL.
Hello all, I have a few questions. Can anybody clarify if you have read the manga and understood the story? Thanks in advance. 1. Didn't Kazuma like Ren when they were teenagers? In the drama, young Kazuma expected to see the fireworks alone with young Ren and even during the fireworks, he really looked like he liked Ren. Then why didn't he admit to Ren he's gay or bi or pan or that he liked Ren? Ok, when he was 15, it would have been hard to figure out but at least now he was of age to know his sexual preferences. 2. What Hide knew about Ren and Kazuma? What happened that he was so much in tears? He said there were rumors...but there was no clear explanation of them. 3. What was the wristband for? What was the wish Ren had - I guessed it to be wishing for Kazuma to be healthy and happy. 4. In manga, did Ren reunite with his family? How was his life in France - like was he bullied in school or something? Because Ren avoided the question. 5. As per manga, how did Ren suffer after he blamed himself for everything? Is it worse than the drama and if so, what happened? 6. In the manga, after being separated, what did Kazuma do to find Ren? How he came to Tokyo and how he immediately recognized Ren?
