I hope he changes his face before that, and makes arrangements for Zhong Mo's family. I think Xie Huai An's plan was flawed. Two people with the same face could not live, even if they were some distance apart. The Huben Army and Pan Feng Shan seem to have a wide outreach. By sheer coincidence, Wen Jing encountered Zhong Mo's biological father.

I know he was trying to protect her, but he should have told her that they were long lost siblings, and to warn her of the dangers to come. He should have surmised that Yan Feng Shan would be after her. There was no guarantee that they would meet again. Unfortunately, her foster sister would sabotage her.

I think it is the most impactful scene so far. You could feel the emotions of the junior actor and the senior actor. I can imagine them breaking down during and after the scene was filmed.

I will have to check out Zhou Qi's dramas. I have seen two of his older dramas. His face is vaguely familiar, but not prominent in my drama memory. His VOA character changed from weak emperor prisoner to doppelganger servant/page boy. He became the shopkeeper's assistant and nursed his big brother, who became aware that Zhong Mo is his little brother. Now, Weng Jing-Mo is embarking on the road back to the palace. Zhou Qi's character acquired the widest job description in the cast. He is ranked fourth ML out of deference to the two experienced character actors, Liu and Wang, otherwise he would be ranked the second ML.

As expected, someone died in episode 18. Xiao Wen Jing, Gu Pu, Xie Huai An (...to some degree) emerged from the shadows. I was sorry about Gao Yan. Head Eunuch received a reprieve for the moment, but I suspect that he will become a casualty after his little Emperor, Xiao Wen Jing, is restored to the throne. That might be his last remaining wish in life. The Eunuchs never survive in the dramas. So Bai Wan's foster sister was an undercover Huben spy. I hope she is next on the writer's hit list.

Thank you for the information. I was trying to match the face on the cast list, and I saw Zhang Sheng's name. I kept staring at his picture. I watched him very recently in Why is He Still Single. I didn't even make the connection.

I started crying when XWJ and the father said their goodbye. I am guessing that the old man will not live to the end of the drama.

Episode 17: I started crying when Xiao Wen Jing said his goodbye to Zhong Mo's birth father. That was the most moving scene, and so unexpected that the man was Zhong Mo's father. It seemed as if he knew "Zhong Mo" real identity. Can you give me the name of the old man's character?

I haven't seen her channel in a few years. I took a look at her review video of VOA. It looks like she had a hair and makeup makeover.

I agree about the waterworks. It was unavoidable because of the circumstances, but Cheng Yi likes weepy roles. I liked his cynical smile in episode 16.

I was stunned when I saw their current status. I must have skipped the scenes when Gao was taken down, and Gu Yu ended up in the canal. How will Gu survive for days or weeks if he can't move?

It seemed that Xiao Wen Jing is 20 to 25, and Xiao Wu Yang is 40 to 45, although Wu Yang might be younger. Wen Jing and Xie Huai An might be the same age. At some point, Wen Jing was the chosen Crown Prince, then Emperor. If Wen Jing was removed from the throne, did Wu Yang step up, to seize the throne?

I am not sure what Xiao Wu Yang's motives are, but he and Chancellor Gao seemed to be relying on Xie Huai An to save the day. Funny that the third ML Wu Zhong Heng has disappeared. I thought he would be a prominent character. but Yan Feng Shan seems to have moved up the ladder.

I have not watched all of Cheng Yi\s dramas, but Vendetta of An gave me Acting Award predictions for Cheng Yi during the first two episodes.

For a split second, I was hallucinating that Bai Wan/Liu Li was still alive.

I thought Xiao Wen Jing/Zhong Mo said he met his brother, who did not recognize him.

Is the writer is doing it on purpose to motivate Xie Huai An's revenge plot. The only two left are Ye Zheng and Zhong Mo. We are at the midpoint of the drama, after five days. It became available on December 13. Is it ending on Christmas Eve?
