MIL acts so phony toward Xu Yan. When Fang Lei first appeared, I felt that Mother had sent for her, to break up the relationship between Shen Haoming and Xu Yan.

Xu Yan must be the equivalent of the K-drama daughter-in-law, who is treated like the servant of the rich family. Xu Yan has a day job at the TV network, but she is also babysitter for Haochen, tea server for MIL, and cook for the family.

Someone might have mentioned previously that the boy, Haochen was born when Haoming was 18. Haochen is 12, so is Haoming's age, 31?

Wang Yi Yao aka Sun Si Wei reminds of Korean actress Kim So Yeon, who used to play similar roles.

They wasted screen time on Lin Tao. Why give him and his supervisor a full scene? I guess Lin Tao is the one to expose Xu Yan's duplicity.

This reminds me of Jumong, where Oh Yeon Soo aka Lady Yu Hwa (Jumong's mother) and Song Il Gook aka Jumong were the same age. Both of them were born in 1971.

You should watch Season 1 for the Zhang Qishan character. William Chan made the character sizzle on screen, for lack of a better word. There is some drag in the plot.
