I finished fourteen episodes. I am confused how Xiao Ming Ming ended up in the novel or drama plot. Is he, the author or a cowriter? Can't he rewrite the plot, and eradicate the enemies, including the vile Qu Hanshan? Who is the third alter ego with the white hair?

I would break off family ties with Yiren immediately. He caused Qiu Shui to be brutalized by Qu Hanshan.

Ep 14 has to be the worst episode. I hope Xiao Qiu Shiu comes back with a vengeance on his enemies, and kicks Yiren to the underworld, and Yìren can takes his stupid brother Kayan with him. The father knows QS is better than Yiren, as the leader.

I just watched ep 13. Yiren and Kayan must be the two most shortsighted martial artists. They must have been living under a rock. Yiren won't live too long.

Zhou Yi Chen and Wen Xiao ribbing Zhao Yuan was a way to show that Zhao Yuan had a sense of humor, despite his age and imposing status.

Sometimes, Wen Zhao seemed to be whispering to Pei, and no one was really around to eavesdrop. The tears popped out at random, to show their emotional level.

Beautiful in-depth review of Fangs of Fortune, and spot on. The character analyses are on point. The actor and character merged seamlessly. I did not watch the drama alongside everyone in October 2024, so I missed the daily comments and the momentum buildup to the conclusion. I watched the drama almost one year later. I was curious about Hou Ming Hao, and I knew Chen Du Ling. Their acted like the long married couple. They were perfect for the roles of Zhao Yuan and Wen Xiao. In general, all the characters were cast perfectly. Even that annoying villain, who refused to go away.

I suspect that Guo Jing Ming is uncomfortable with romantic themes, but he knew how to pick the actors for the job, assuming he was involved in the hiring process.

My prediction is that Lester Lin will outshine his acting peers within ten years. He had the widest acting range in Fangs of Fortune, and he outacted all the adult actors.

It was a great idea to make a MV style video with the cast. Even the villains appear. It was a real team effort. They were well coordinated. They reminded me of KPOP and MPOP team MVs.

I have watched a few of Edward Guo's dramas, and he doesn't seem to feel sentiment between the ML and FL. It might be my imagination.

Ms Pei is very pretty, but she took a stepback to the FL. She had great fighting skills, but she was expressionless most of the free time.

She had some good scenes. When she and Zhao Yun smiled at or with each other, you could feel the magnetic pull. Twice they tried to kiss. The director is a idiot. She also did some very good stunts, but sometimes, she seemed defenseless. The Goodwill Goddess Qing Geng had more powers than she.
