I agree 100%. She went from aggressive to passive. She didn't even make sure Wutuo Leader was dead. Usually, they give the final thrust, to ensure the enemy leader stays dead. Once the leader is declared dead, the underlings usually submit defeat, and run away.

That was the funniest scene. Xiao Jue blocked Han Ye and Chu Zhao's hands.

I suspect he has an ulterior motive to take down Xu. I hope this is his big reveal, so he can redeem his drama reputation. In today's episode, he was standing in the middle of the frame, with Xiao Jue and He Yan on either side, looking at each other. I said, "Get out of the frame, Chu Zhao!" LOL

He Yan's battle scenes have been very impressive. Zhou Ye, Drama Director and Action Director and staff did a great job with the execution of the stunts. I thought the only weakness was at Rundu when He Yan was wailing for Xiao Jue, thinking he was dead on the battleground. The Wutuo leader crept up behind her, but Xiao Jue saved the day. With her crack fighting and strategic skills, He Yan left her back exposed. As usual, the valiant hero steps in, and saves the heroine's life.

Good points! I think he is planning something. His target is Xu Jingfu. Is it revenge for the death of his family members?

To tell you the truth, I have been glossing over his screen times.

I thought Chu Zhao works for Ministry of War. He doesn't seem to have a military background. What was the flute music for? If anything, he should have been beating the war drums to motivate the soldiers.

I was wondering if Jiyang Princess was an ally or enemy at the onset, but she had already recognized him, and was not upset.

I was surprised at the translated sentence. I don't speak Chinese, but I didn't think she had delayed the troops. She was taken aback when Chai An Xi told them that He Hu Fei had delayed sending the troops.

I think they respected her because she pushed them to train hard, and they watched her push herself beyond the limit of endurance training. No better leader than He Yan! "Fight for oneself. Fight for all!" Xiao Jue hasn't trained as hard as she did (... in the episodes).They were not the fastest, brightest recruits. I hope they all survive at the finish line.

I am so glad that the drama companies release express packages. Waiting for two episodes daily to the finish line, is nerve-racking.

I am waiting for the Hu Fei-Yan altercation as well on the battlefield. I hope she has the satisfaction of killing him. I hope Xiao Jue does not step in as the ultimate hero to save her. She demonstrated her skills and prowess in battle.

Thanks for the recap of He HuFei and He Yan's youth. Did Hu Fei also live in the temple as a woman, which would have been trying for him. Did Mr He kill all the temple staff when Hu Fei left the temple, so no one would reveal the secret?
