everyone has flaws And he didn’t fire her just because of the cake, she wasn’t honest and thought if she lied…
He reprimands her in front of everyone that she is fired to push her buttons? So threatening their livelihood was just a trick? How did she redeem herself? By trying to buy him things for his fishing hobby and not based on her capabilities or merit? Or because she is of use to ML realising that her relationship with bf can be taken advantage of?
Such a dramatic office misunderstanding. ML fires employee for a cake ? FL can't stand up for herself right from the beginning? Already not liking both lead's characters. Will the rest of episodes redeem itself?
Oh no not being honest about his dad's debt is so cliché . As if there are no legal protection or recourse for inheritance debt by loan sharks in the modern age?
First time loving a drama so much I marathoned it in 2 workday nights desperately hoping for a happy ending , only to be disappointed WITH a happy ending. I was so utterly captivated, engaged, fully invested in JW & Moeun's journey. Everything was so realistically raw tackling very real issues that come with JW's disability. This heavy melodrama with a subject matter delicately presented in such a beautiful way, as an audience I felt a responsibility to not miss the meaning without words so as to catch the beauty of silence and it really gave me moving impact except for the ending. I felt like it started with a bang for everyone involved with the character arch of JW written to perfection so much so that Moeun character arch from sweet to sour taste in the end, just felt like someone spilled paint on a Picasso! I could not have been more devastated with the ending. From ep 1 to 12 l felt that the writers , cast , crew, production gave all they got but forgot to give a fitting ending for JW - The star of the show. Ep 13 to 15 was filled with angst and struggles expected for their journey. I naively thought it realistic, that it is a melodrama afterall, that the writers could be setting us up for fall before the climax - the fitting happy ending for JW. That all would be redeemed in the end. As an audience I desperately wanted JW to be understood. That all his painful struggles would finally be lifted with someone he could lean and depend on - someone who truly loves him for who he is , disability and all. Especially since he was abandoned in an orphanage and became deaf from a fever as a child. I felt betrayed with this ending! Betrayed as an audience to witness such depth of loneliness, the feeling of being so helpless, of being misunderstood just because he is deaf . Betrayed that I was so moved by Moeun's character and action towards JW , rooting for them, only to have her be selfish in the end. And for all the very painful reasons why JW went into hiding in the first place! It is such travesty to see a masterpiece like this being handled carelessly in the end.
