Am I the only one who had to laugh out loud when Yue Qin's eyes widened so dramatically while he read Zigu's letter?…
It was indeed a bit over the top but Bi Wen Jun is a good actor, just that this role doesn't allow him to showcase his talent. Better watch 'I'm Nobody' or 'Warm on a Cold Night' for a fairer judgement.
I understand that when some people refer to chemistry, it may be perceived as physical touching (hugging and kissing)…
Xuehuai is not really her 'first love', he was more like a brother figure to her. As for Zhanbai, she has long fallen for him, she just doesn't want to give in to her feelings because she feels remorseful for lying to him about the fake prescription...she is afraid he will come to hate her when he finds out the truth.
Anyone else feel Tong will be the downfall of our FL? She’s not thinking clearly; all she sees is the little…
He's indeed a thorn in the eye and starts to annoy me tbh (I know that's not his fault since he's basically unemotional but still). Boy has survived the massacre but has lived like a wild animal/beast since then... Bonds such as friendship or family is a foreign concept to him. He always needed to fight or kill to survive...kill or be killed, He only knows betrayal. Zhan Bai is right, she shouldn't trust him so blindly...he's beyond saving imo and will only lead her to her demise *sigh*
Off-topic Only 10 episodes left and Wang Hong Yi (Miao Feng) barely had any screentime...that's imho very disappointing. He looked like one of the most intriguing character to me in the beginning but now his role seems more like a special appearance than anything else. What wasted potential! Still I really like the drama (mainly for the leads and the soothing atmosphere...OST is also one of my fav for this year) and think show is very much underrated/unappreciated.
Why did they couple the princess with the king? He’s like her dad's age; it’s just messed up lol. They should…
Once again, Baron Chen is barely any younger than the King/Emperor (Jiang Kai). He's 19 years older than the actress who played General Yin/Luo Mei in rl (and it shows). He could be his father as well. As for the drama, marriages with huge age gaps were very common in this era (look at 'The Double'for example, King/Emperor took one of his late father's woman as his consort)
Is Chen Xin Hai a good actor? Do you think he suits as a ML? Don't know much about him.
I loved him in 'Falling Before Fireworks' Though it was a modern and low-budget drama, he was very good in his role. He also was in 'The Double' but his role there was forgettable (not his fault, he barely had any screentime) He's quite new in the industry but from what I've seen thus far, he has the chops and the looks. As a big fan of Li Yi Tong, I'm very satisfied with this casting.
It was da bomb!!! Can't wait for episode 10 NOW🔥 I can't believe I'm addicted to a Park Shin Hye's drama. I have never been a fan of her acting and now her drama is the one that reignited my love for K-dramas. Definitely her best role to date!
the princess is going to marry that old king 😑😑initially I thought she was going to marry crown prince
Let that sink in...Baron Chen and Jiang Kai (old king) are only 7 years apart in age in rl... but yeah it's cringey when you think about it (talking about the drama here)
