Mixed Experience with Lighthearted Comedy Drama
I really wanted to enjoy watching this drama, but five episodes in, I find myself struggling to get through each episode. I might return to it in the future if my interest resurfaces, but for now, I am dropping it. I don't particularly like the characters in this drama and don't find myself rooting for or empathizing with any of them. The female lead is quite one-dimensional, portrayed as a good-natured person, and the male lead falls for her in the first episode. The pacing of the drama feels off and somewhat rushed; the relationship and trust between the two leads could have been developed more gradually.
The comedy aspect of this drama seems cheesy to me, and It might be because I'm outside the target age group, as I find some scenes difficult to endure. Without giving away too many details, the slapstick comedy seems aimed at younger viewers, around 13 years old, and feels overly exaggerated, which can be jarring. While I generally enjoy comedy in dramas, the humour in this particular show fell flat for me.
However, one aspect I really liked was the setting and background of the male lead and his colleagues. I was interested in seeing how they worked to overcome prejudice. Overall, this drama might be enjoyable for those who appreciate very lighthearted slapstick comedy.
