I'm not looking forward to this series coming to an end! I really love all the new actors! MingKit was my fav in the original and STILL my favorite in this series! I loved seeing ForthBeam finally! Only 2 episodes left, I feel like I do at the end of every series I love, I want more!!!

I really like how Forth is taking what happened between him and Beam seriously and truly trying to win the guy over. Beam seems like a tough shell to crack emotionally. Perhaps cliche -- but at the same time its pretty common in the real world for a family member to be unsupportive. But its usually parents/authority figure -- typically siblings tend to be more supportive. I haven't read the books either -- not a big book reader. I'm actually a gamer lmao! Well I technically I'm a gaymer I guess lol!

It is true that in the gay community there are those -- especially in the past -- who would use a marriage/relationship with a girl as a "beard" or cover to hide their true sexuality. Or in this case perhaps trying to convince himself of his own sexuality -- or at least what he thinks it is. I'm still "watching it from afar" so-to-speak because again -- I adore Tay! lol! And I tend to overthink when discussing shows sometimes too, especially if I find it interesting. I keep trying to piece it altogether instead of letting it unfold slowly over time lmao! And yes, I have a bisexual friend who prefers males but is still bisexual. Some bis do not care what sex, some bis prefer one over the other and some fall in between. Actually it doesn't surprise me personally that straight girls like BL or gay romance. A straight girl (at least from my limited knowledge from the perspective of a gay guy lmao) is attracted to males. So seeing male-male romance instead of male-female romance might appeal more to them :) kinda like how straight men often times seem to like female-female. Although I also understand the appeal of a straight woman watching a straight romance so she perhaps can see herself in the position of the leading lady? As is the same with many men? I'm just making guesses lmao! What surprises me is that BL doesn't seem to have a large gay male fan-base. All my guy friends and most of the guys I talk to on here and YouTube who watch BL are usually bisexual. Now women its straights, bisexuals, lesbians, ect -- all sorts seem to enjoy it! :D Maybe us guys are just more narrow-minded :P But I'd think at least BL would appeal to my fellow gay men. And its inappropriate because with age comes a power dynamic over younger people, especially in East Asian societies where elders are held to higher prestige than say here in the USA where I live. I'm gay, I personally would not sleep with a woman willingly nor ever enjoy such a thing. You can identify as a toaster lol, but I'm happy to use the pronouns people prefer or refer to them as straight even if they are bisexual in my mind. If it makes them happy then who am I to judge? I just won't believe it myself. Wait perhaps you and your friend fall further on one side of the kinsey scale? I have a friend who is bisexual but prefers males and RARELY falls for a girl. I hope I'm not being offensive, this subjects are always a minefield lol. I'm not holding much hope of Tay's character being gay because this I guess turns into a polygamous relationship. If it was 3 guys, I might consider it even though I prefer one-on-one relationships. I like Mild, but straightness doesn't appeal to me. It would be like a straight guy watching BL -- maybe there are some but they are the exception rather than the rule. I've watched straight romance my whole life, being pushed into my face by the mainstream. So seeing a girl thrown into the mix just kinda reminds me of the "normal" sexuality invading BL. I know some people like moody BL and that's kewl -- but I watch BL to be uplifted. Sure I love a little sad drama here but I'm not so much into the dark BL that tends to have a sad or bittersweet ending. Oh and I'm not mad at Tay or anyone that works on this series lol! Ahhh yes I always read the tags too because this site tends to be a LOT better than others about tagging series' and films more accurately and I didn't see "gay relationship" which usually means VERY little to no BL if it only has the "gay character" tag. Bullying/homophobia bugs me, but at least when used properly it can convey an important message to the viewers. Rape, however, tends to be more of a sexual fantasy than a life-lesson in BL which I find personally distasteful but I won't shame others for enjoying such entertainment. I don't think rape should be trivialized in such a manner. So I agree with you completely there. Sometimes rape, while still disturbing as it should be, is done in a way that doesn't romanticize it. I'm thinking Night Flight where its a traumatic, horrid experience for the poor guy and they treat the situation FAR more seriously, albeit it still could have been done better. There are lines I won't cross either, especially when involving rape / outrageous age-gaps / power-dynamic (grooming / person with power coerces another into sex/relationship) that kind of stuff bugs me personally.
