Title The Journey of Legend Spoiler
I want to say something about liu sifeng I don’t think he’s at fault or a villain either his family were also…
Yes I do feel bad for him too and don't think of him as an actual villain. However, he did do quite a lot of bad stuff for revenge and trying to find the truth behind his family's downfall. I don't mind if he really destroys the evil people behind his family's downfall, but he even drags innocent people into the mess. If XQS's father is innocent, he basically have destroyed the whole Huanhua Sect for nothing (unless it wasn't him that killed them, but even so he did contributed).

Regarding the blame part, Liu Suifeng does not have any reason to blame himself for it. His Baicao Valley was destroyed because of the marching pills and the bad people who covet the pills I think. So his family was framed by bad people, saying that his family worked with the country's enemies (Bei Huang).

Xiao Qiushui, however, blamed himself because he trusted Liu Suifeng (as Feng Lang) and brought him into his house, introducing him to his family. Xiao Qiushui believes that because of him trusting Liu Suifeng, the Power Gang was able to know about the Hero Token and Old Madame Wu. The Sword Manor can only be opened from the inside, it may be that the parents opened the door for Liu Suifeng, thinking that he is XQS's friend and ally.

The comment sections really like chengyi full biased fanpage than a drama page. Well, I expected to find neutral…
Huh? Let me ask you, what is considered a "neutral" review? So far whenever someone asks if this drama is good, most of us here will ask the person to watch it for themselves and share what we personally think. I'm a Cheng Yi fan, but I dropped some of his dramas including Love & Redemption, South Wind Knows etc. I don't force myself to watch a drama if I don't like it. I'm also a fan of many other actors and actresses like Esther Yu, Bai Lu, Tan Jianci, but I don't force myself to watch all their dramas if I don't like the plot/genre.

So far this drama is engaging to me because I like Wuxia and I also like it when there's a lot of mysteries to uncover in the plot. I also love growth dramas. However, everyone has their own preferences, some people prefer looking at actors/actresses faces more, some people prefer aesthetic scenes more, some people prefer romance plot more etc. I would recommend you watch the trailer to see if it's your kind of show.

Or he is the guy in the mask. 🤔
I sure hope not! I don't want another betrayal 😭 But so far he seems genuinely nice.

Is there any romance?? ( I'm hoping there's none )
There's slight romance between ML and SFL, but it's not the main plot, and so far (ep 20), the characters are just friends and not together.

Yeah I agree with you, the eldest brother, Xiao Yiren's character is definitely not as righteous as his parents. He seems like the kind of person to only do good deeds to be recognised, and will not sacrifice his own benefits imo. Not that he is bad, but he just doesn't embody the righteousness of Jianghu.

To be completely honest Old Madam Wu and by extension Xiao father are responsible for the destruction of the Xiao…
It is true, but the Xiao Family (parents) decided to protect Old Madame Wu is for the sake of the country. If Old Madame Wu is protected and safe, the General (her son) will be able to focus on the war. XQS's parents are really the true, righteous heroes, even though they sacrificed the safety of their family, leading to their downfall. Buttt, in today's episodes, it seems like their efforts for the country paid off.

I love ep 19 and 20!! I'm so happy that we get to see XQS slowly getting out of his grief and picking himself back up! His brothers are really pissing me off though, hopefully they won't cause trouble if XQS is recognised as the Huanhua head.

And oh my, things are really started to get more interesting, we're getting right into the main plot! Looks like we may meet Crazy Yan soon.

I'm also so happy to see Li Chenzhou even if it's only for one scene. Li Chenzhou's aura just feels so expensive (?) and screaming with authority. He's so calm while being so scary and deadly. His wife is also so pretty hahahaha hope we get to see them more.

I read some other comment that i come to understand now why QS really feel guilty and blaming himself.QS said…
Oh yess this is a good explanation too. The fact that the Sword Manor can ONLY be opened from the inside is an interesting thing to put in the show. Is it really Feng Lang (Liu Suifeng) or someone else? Literally after ep 18, I'm suspicious of anyone who is like missing during the important scenes.

Is it? I wonder if they are half siblings or just related from Tang family because he said your childhood friends,…
Translation is wrong. He said "我是你的风哥哥" which means "I am your brother Feng". Brother Feng may indicate two things: (1) friend (Chinese people tend to call friends brothers too) or (2) Blood-related actual brother.

He said Tang Yaoshun impregnated his mom, having him, and then left to become the Tang Clan head. Tang Fang's father (episode 9) is shown to be Tang Yaoshun, the current Tang Clan head.

Hahaha I don't think it's the bestttt drama (coming from a CY fan), but it's definitely not the worst drama either. I can understand if people find the acting bad in some scenes, but for all scenes so far, to say that acting is bad, I'm speechless.

As a huge CQL fan, I am just really sad to be witnessing another person being betrayed by the whole world and…
Yess, actually while watching the latest few episodes, I get that feeling of JC and Xiao Yiren, especially since both of them are young sect leaders. I felt like both JC and Xiao Yiren did try to protect WWX and Xiao Qiushui respectively, but evidence keeps going against their brothers. Both also blamed their brothers for the tragedy of their family. And definitely agree that Xiao Yiren is worse. JC was really in a tough position + with what happened with his sister and brother-in-law...

Why are the ratings low? Can someone share? Was planning on watching this week…
The ratings are not reflective of whether this drama is good or not, because there's a portion of haters who give the drama the lowest ratings without even watching it. I would say ignore the ratings and just start watching this drama to see if it's your cup of tea. Personally, I really like the drama so far but the latest episodes are making a lot of people frustrated. It's still good though, am eagerly waiting for more plot development!

is this suppose to be a sad drama series, I mean they insert some comedic moments but rally, after 18 episodes,…
Hmm this is not meant to be a sad drama but a growth drama.

In terms of acting, as a fan of Cheng Yi, I'm not offended. Cheng Yi's acting is genuinely insanely good if you have watched his other dramas. However, I do think that this drama is not doing him enough justice. His acting and microexpressions are still really good imo, fitting his character. But, his styling in this drama + his role/acting as the youngest son may come off as childish or bad acting to some. Anyways, if his acting in this drama turned you off, I do hope you can give his other dramas a chance some day 😔

I couldn’t understood his brothers unreasonable blame for the parents on ml? He didn’t knew that Liu is fang…
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the brothers do not know that their family was specifically targeted because of the parents protecting and hosting Old Madame Wu + hero token. The brothers + sister were sent to Guangling to investigate about the marching pills. They left before shit went down.

So in the brothers' perspective, the tragedy of their family was caused by XQS bringing Liu Suifeng, the Power Gang's deputy to their house. The first time the siblings heard that their family and Huanhua Sect are in trouble was when XQS's friends came and told them that Power Gang surrounded Huanhua Sect.

I think the siblings initially thought it was because of the investigation of the marching pills that Power Gang targeted the Xiao Family. Then, when Xiao Yiren came back to Huanhua Sect after everyone have died and the villains retreated, the prince guy said it was Liu Suifeng + Qiushui revealed that Feng Lang is Liu Suifeng and blamed everything on himself for bringing Liu Suifeng to their family.

Actually, I realised the brothers never knew their parents hosted Old Madame Wu and the hero token. They only know that Liu Suifeng and the Power Gang destroyed their family and it was Qiushui who trusted and brought him to their family. Or did I miss something?

The thing is he has already started treating this whole world as not just a novel. He has spent time living and…
Oh yes I do agree with you, but sadly I think it's a script issue + limitation of the number of episodes. This drama was adapted from a popular 1970s Wuxia novel. Back then, before the 40-episode limit for cdramas, many Wuxia and novel-adapted dramas exceed 50-60 episodes.

Some people may also find too much "fillers" boring 😪 It's hard to make a really good adaptation while trying to balance so many things, the problem with adaptations...
