I get the hate for Liu Suifeng, not defending him, but so far it's uncertain if he and the Power Gang were really the ones who murdered Xiao Parents and the Huanhua Sect. Cue the mysterious mask guy. Also, I have a feeling that this drama is not going to go down on a purely revenge path if that's the kind of drama you like. The overall message of this drama has always been righteousness and chivalry. If LSF and Power Gang are not responsible for Xiao parents' deaths, most likely he won't be killed by XQS. LSF may die in some other way though idk.

Could she really be Crazy Yan's sister? But Crazy Yan does look kinda old while Xueyu is only a little older than Qiushui.

And if Xiao Father (forgot his name) adopted her, how did he get to know her? It could be that Xueyu is a Jianghu friend's daughter, but what about her brother? Sorry I keep having so many things to say hahaha. Today's episodes give me the impression that Liu Suifeng is the kind of guy that even though he does not like/love you, you are not allowed to have feelings for another person. I think I remember in the earlier episodes when we first saw red phoenix and with purple phoenix's betrayal, LSF said smth like his subordinates are not allowed to have feelings for other men.
I don't know what to feel about that. I know quite some fans in China are shipping the two together because they look good together, but with the way LSF treats SMZ, I cannot see them tgt at all.
I also want to say that I really like the part where Xiao Qiushui confronted Liu Suifeng and Song Mingzhu in that cave place, and even though his enemies were in front of him and he could ask about his parents, as soon as he heard Tang Fang's voice, he abandoned them and went towards her. Finding his parents' body and revenge is important, but I really love it when he prioritises his friends and family (unlike Xiao Yiren). XQS also did not hesitate to jump down that trap door to check if Tang Fang is okay and brought her out. The slight romance in this drama is done pretty well, I can actually see that the characters care for each other. I actually don't mind if they end up tgt or not, as long as XQS is happy 🥺
My bet is age. We see in the flashbacks he looks 20 while XQS looks 6, so I'd imagine him being 15-odd years older…
Also, adding on, it's because Xiao Yiren was more promising than his siblings back then. I think in the recent eps, Nangong guy or Tang guy said that in the Xiao Family, only Xiao Yiren can be considered skilled. He also was the one who followed his father in the Jianghu and made a small name for himself by helping in his father's deeds. Of course, as viewers, we know that is BS, the youngest son, Xiao Qiushui has grown up now and is more talented than his brothers hahaha
