i find him pretty and handsome, in the sea of cdrama MLs he stands out as a naturally good looking man, 95% of chinese actors are plastic... I'm sure most of the MLs you find handsome are thanks to their plastic surgeon, they weren't born that way... He could have had plastic surgery but i respect that he didn't. I'm so glad that he is the lead in Joy of life, i can't see the role of Fan Xian played by anyone else. He nailed it!

I haven’t watched a single episode of Squid games. Will start watching season 1 after season 3 release. Anyone like me here? I normally don’t watch blood or gory type drama, I’m more into the typical romance kdrama but I watch a lot of Chinese sword martial arts drama. And recently watched the new gladiator movie, so since I watched that, I might as well watch The Squid games.

Watch Joy of life, 2 seasons are out. If you like intelligent witty characters you will love it. And it’s comedic as hell. Don’t expect much romance but romance is also present. But the drama is focused on ML and how he tackles the injustices of the world. It’s quite interesting and not a boring moment.

I haven’t watched the above drama yet. But Sealed with a kiss has a very red flag ML. Hawick Lau is the ML. It’s not historical drama. Also watch ‘The confidence’, and ‘unexpected falling’. Both have same leads. Possessive red flag villain ML. Both modern drama.

So far Chen Ping counteracts what emperor does by providing clues to Fan Xian and helps him. But definitely he too is a schemer. Yes Uncle Wuzu is like a grand master in martial arts, he definitely could have saved Teng Zing but then we would not have the storyline. Uncle Wuzu returns much later in season 2, after the wedding of main characters.

Please watch it, you will like it. But don’t expect much romance. it’s comedy and witty. Most characters are hilarious. Funny dialogues. You will find yourself laughing a lot and even like the villians. There are also emotional scenes. I’m on season 2 and hilarity continues. This is one of the best dramas out there. Honestly it’s nice to not have the jealous love triangle annoying romance arc. The focus is on ML and his adventures. And it’s fun to watch.

The ML lost weight for season 2, looks a lot better. He’s actually very good looking and the costumes are amazing. He looks gorgeous and elegant, especially after he had important job as an inspector. I’m not sure about frozen capsules but China doesn’t allow time travel drama so they had to work with what they are able to do. However the book has this element ( I heard) if you want to read the time travel. Another actor replaces Xiao Zhan in season 2, thank god. The new actor does a better job.

I don’t remember the episodes. But he’s terrible in it. His acting, the character. Well I’m no fan but still not impressed. In season 2 another actor plays this role, and so much better. Maybe Xiao Zhan is not good at playing angry displeased characters.

Lol I’m in the middle of season 2, emperor does seem like a level headed intelligent man but you definitely don’t want to cross him. He definitely is a major schemer. He cleverly manipulates events or people to get the outcome he wants. But still it’s not completely clear whether he is actually the villain. I still have another 10-12 episodes to go.

have you watched season 1 ? if not just watch, as rewatching is pure joy, and you can rewatch when season 3 comes out.

mine are Namkong Min, Ji Sung, and Kim NamGil. These three have amazing acting skills and really good looking older men.

I love his eyes, he's got gorgeous eyes...Looks a bit like Rowoon. Watching Embrace in the dark night.... will watch more of him..

I looked at the lists, wow most of them I haven't seen. I love watching drama with Dominant Dark MLs.I have a few suggestions for the list: Sealed with a Kiss (with Hawick Lau) Definitely will fit there, warning there is SA. Also "The Confidence", "Unexpected falling" Both these have same leads, very hot chemistry. Both actors very attractive. ML is a villain in both, however in Unexpected falling, he's not as bad. Have you seen these? if not ,definitely recommend.

Was just listening to OST from The Princess man and realised I knew that voice from another drama. He also sang OST for Empress Ki-one of my favourite drama of all time. He has a distinct beautiful singing voice, Amazing talent.

You are welcome, I just remembered another one - My heart Twinkle Twinkle (ML is possesive and is Villain), Korean drama. Also watch Secret (2013) , enemies to lovers theme. ML becomes possesive once he falls for her in second half.

I know several chinese drama like that: Sealed with a kiss. (Not just possesive and obsessive, but also abusive. Hawick Lau is very hot though).

(both these drama same main actors, same director watch the confidence first. Although they are seperate drama, there is some connection and you will notice it. The leads are so beautiful and very good chemistry. Happy ending in second drama. ML is the villain in the drama, especially in 1st drama

If you want historical like Empress Ki, watch Princess Weiyoung. Second ML is possesive. Also watch Goodbye my princess.

I speak Russian and I can tell you Byeon Woo Seok was terrible at Russian and so were the other korean actors...lol. But his acting is 10/10. Cant say the same for the main girl. The whole drama needs a rewrite. The plot could have been better. Ryo Shi should have been the main ML. He is the the main attraction for this show.

Agreed. Ryo Shi Oh should have been ML,the story would have been perfect. He wanted to be good and for her he would have changed. Story of redemption would have been so much better. He had a horrible childhood, a little boy still looking for love. Very sad that this opportunity of a great storyline was missed by the creators.
