A captivating drama that proves story is everything
I watched Blossom right after The Pursuit of Jade (which I absolutely loved). I was completely drawn into this drama from the start. The storyline hooked me so badly that I couldn't wait for the next episode.Yes, the production quality isn't as high as some other big-budget dramas. But honestly? It doesn't matter. The story will captivate you completely. I could not stop watching.
Blossom is proof that episode count doesn't matter when the writing is this strong. I loved Song Mo and Dou Zhao as a couple—they always look after each other, and their love story feels genuine. I especially love how Dou Zhao is so strategic and always tries to help Song Mo with his revenge. It was so painful to watch how the odds are always against them and how the villains always strike first. But that just makes it more satisfying to watch every single one of them meet their ends.
The political intrigue is well written, and you will never get bored. It was also satisfying to see how certain characters developed compared to their past selves. My only complaint? I wish the drama was longer. Some storylines deserved more time to breathe.
But despite that, Blossom has one of the best storylines I've seen.

A mastepiece that stays with you
What an emotional rollercoaster! From start to finish, this drama had me completely captivated.The cinematography of Meiwan Town is absolutely stunning—every frame felt like a painting. And the acting? Phenomenal. The entire cast delivered, but the leads brought something truly special to their roles.
This is a heartbreaking story that follows Hai Tang and Yi Xun, two souls shaped by similar pain. Life was never kind to them. The only time they found happiness was in each other's arms. No matter how hard they fought, they couldn't escape the cruel hand destiny dealt them. Their love was beautiful, tragic, and completely unforgettable.
I was glued to the screen. I cried so much, especially during the later episodes. That main song? The moment it started playing, my eyes would well up instantly. Their story was told with such care and tenderness—a love that lasted until their very last days.
If I have one criticism, it's the 2026 timeline. Compared to the 1991 storyline, it fell a little flat. I couldn't connect to the characters there the same way. The 1991 era, honestly, was pure masterpiece material.
I did appreciate the ending—they finally followed their dreams. And the magic postbox? I'm glad they never over-explained it. That mystery added something special: the quiet magic of the future reaching back to the past, without needing logic or justification.
This drama will stay with me for a long time. Love to Yi Xun and Hai Tang. 💓📮

This attention to detail ensures the audience forms a deep connection to the storyline, drawing you in until you genuinely feel for their struggles and triumphs.
A major emotional highlight is the development of the bond between Jung Si Yul and Mudeok and the rest of the group. Watching them transform into a true, protective family against external threats is the emotional core of the series.
Production, Acting, and Intensity
The series perfectly captures the reality of the Joseon era, boasting amazing production values and top-tier acting. Rowoon, in particular, delivers a powerful performance that successfully transitions him out of his usual romantic-comedy roles and establishes his strength in serious drama.
Furthermore, the drama doesn't shy away from its action. The fighting scenes are intense and exceptionally well-executed, adding a thrilling layer to the narrative.
Themes and Conclusion
An Authentic Joseon Portrayal: This drama is a raw, real portrayal of Joseon, skillfully depicting the harsh reality of the time. thw only good thing in the drama is Park Hyung Sik.
What a disaster. I was hoping for a great revenge drama, and instead it's a boring drama that has no soul. The concept is good, but it fails at execution. It relies on the acting, but the scripts are so bad. It did not attract me from the beginning, but I thought, "Okay, I will watch one more episode as it may get better," but no. I did not really care about the characters except Dong Ju. I kept watching it for him.I could not waste my time any longer and dropped it at episode 8 and skipped to the last one. The ending was not satisfying at all after he had to get through so much.

trash BL but somehow you will wait for a new episodes with excitement and love the MLs
It is really addictive! I was waiting every week for a new episode. The week never felt so long.I loved Sorn and Jun; their interaction was great, also the chemistry. Sometimes I felt like I was watching a porn. It was nice to see how their relationship developed and how Sorn changed for the better.
But that is about it. The storyline is terrible, and I did not care about the other characters, as I always skipped their scenes. The acting was terrible especially the second ML couple. So basically, Sorn & Jun saved the drama.
If you wanna watch it - watch it for the main couple and ignore the rest, and do not think too much about the story.

Not on the same level as class 1 but still great watch
Wow, what a ride! I binge-watched it in one go. The acting was great, especially Park Ji Hoon—his eyes could tell the whole story. It was so sad to see Si Eun struggling and feeling guilty about Su Ho. It was nice to see his journey to get better and make new friends. Ryeon Un has undergone a great transformation in his character, but I don't know if it's the weight he gained, but he looked so old that he didn't look like a student. The villains are on another level compared to season 1. Jun Young did an amazing job portraying Seon Ke.To be honest, I think eight episodes are not enough; it was very fast-paced, but in my opinion, the story lacked depth. Like, at the end, everyone was crying, but I didn't feel it. The backstory was missing, so I couldn't connect with the characters and sympathize with them. On the other hand, the fight scenes were amazing—so good. My favorite is the rooftop fight with Seong Je and Si Eun; my heart almost stopped—it was so intense.
To compare it to season 1, I think season 2 is not on the same level. The production and fights are great, but season 1 focused more on the friendships and the characters' stories, which was missing in season 2. I wish there were a few more episodes to make the story perfect.
OMG, the ending...finally! I was hoping to see more interaction, so hopefully, we will get a season 3.

it's a perfect drama and you will love it!
What a journey! The drama had me on the edge of my seat. I have to say the storyline is just perfect, and you don't get bored at all. I would say the exact opposite; as the 12 episodes finished, I was like, "Watch! I want more!" The production, colors, and acting are great.I like the M&A and how they fought against the whole company. Ju No's negotiation skills are just on another level. I like how they got through every task, which always helped someone in the end. It was not only about getting money but they put their heart into it as well. Some of the executives had my blood boiling, especially the chairman and Ha Tae, as they did not understand that they were trying to save the company and that meant their jobs. Money takes the heart......
The ending was perfect. It made me scream and laugh at the same time as he walked through the door. Also, it's a great opening for another season, if there will be one.
I am a little surprised that the rating is so low and it's not very popular.
It reminds me of *Hot Stove League*, which is one of my favorite dramas.

Amazing drama - you will cry, laugh and rooting for them
This drama is a rollercoaster of emotions, and you never know what is going to happen next. There are so many twists and plots that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Despite the episodes being very long, I did not get bored. I finished the drama in one week. The pacing was just right—not too slow, not too fast.The cinematography is great, as is the storyline. It is a very sad story of a slave who has to go through countless hardships to survive. I cannot even imagine how hard it must have been to live in the Joseon era. Also, the drama makes you laugh, as the servant team is just
hilarious. I love how strong their bond is, and they always protect each other. The romance is great, and you will be rooting for them.
I loved the acting; everyone did a great job, but Young Woo was amazing. The way he played two characters… he slayed!
Also, I think the last episode was rushed, as everything was solved in the last 30 minutes. And without spoiling it, I did expect a different ending for him.
Finally, after *My Dearest*, there is another great historical drama. To be honest, it is not on the same level, but it is pretty good.
I am surprised that it is not very popular, and it is a shame more people do not talk about it.

Hilarious? the best comedy drama.
I think this is the best comedy-drama I have seen. If you need something light, it is the right drama for you. I have not laughed so much in a very long time. I love how the actors brought each character to life. In one word…hilarious!I love the way they are sorting the cases and how they are related to them, so we will find out more about their lives. It's a lovely journey of them becoming a family and to see how they care about each other.
I thought 20 episodes was too much; I thought I would get bored, but not even one episode lost my attention. They did a great job of keeping it light even in serious situations or when dealing with issues, and combined it with a comedy factor. It is just perfect. The acting and production are great. I hope there will be another season.

It did not wow me!
The storyline was very interesting, and it was engaging to see how the events would unfold and whether justice could be served. The beginning of the drama was good, but it became slow and a bit draggy in the middle.Honestly, the judge was incredibly annoying. He practically begged the gangster to spare his life multiple times, promising to do anything, yet he repeatedly stabbed the gangster in the back without considering the consequences, all to save his reputation. I despised his character. Moreover, the entire situation arose because of his son, who disregarded the consequences of his actions and their impact on others.
The ending was very fitting, as a punishment that causes immense suffering is preferable to justice.

Great drama—that is the way to beat corruption
The drama has a great storyline, and I like how they introduce new cases every two episodes, and it all leads to the closure of the main plot. It is nice to see how the team comes together and works to beat the corruption. I love the way Ha Kyun portrays his character; it is perfect.I love the interaction between Sin Cha and Dae Ugn, and I wish we could see more of it.
It was fun to watch, and I was hooked from the first episode.
The acting was great, especially Ha Kyun, as he carried the show.
The drama reminds me a little bit of Hot Stove League, which I absolutely love.
Let's hope for another season.

You will love the journey with uncle Samsik!
It is very easy to watch and follow the events even if you are not familier with the Korean history. It is story how the politics really works to gain money and power.The acting is great and I love the relationship that uncle Samsik had with San. Samsik is real genius who's always come up with the plan and it is fun to watch as he is always ahead of everyone. I was so surprised that in the end he is betrayed and oversmarten by someone you would not expect at all. Till the last minute I was hoping he has other plan to get out of the situation. The ending was very emotional. I guess it ended as it should as in the end the money and power always win. It would be great to see Kim San to take a revenge....
To be honest I don't understand why the rating is so low and the drama is not very well known.

Fun, Action-Packed, and Full of Potential
I love the acting and the storyline. The friendship between Felix Chiang the down-on-his-luck former gangster—and Louis Hsueh, aka Fixer Gold, the arrogant political scion, is a highlight. Watching them go from reluctant partners to something closer to brothers was genuinely rewarding. The way the team comes together and how we slowly get to know each of them is one of the show's strengths. Mina, the enigmatic Fixer who repeatedly complicates their missions, adds another layer to the dynamic.It's a fun watch with good action, and the chemistry between the leads carries the show even when the plot gets messy. I think it would have been a great drama if they had gone deeper into the storyline and executed it properly. Some of the missions felt surface-level, and the emotional beats could have hit harder with more development.
Apart from that, it was a good time spent. I love the ending, and I really hope there's a next season.

A Heartbreaking Reflection on Beauty and Cruelty
Kwon Hae-hyo's performance is astonishing. He portrays Im Yeong-gyu, a blind master seal engraver, with such depth and precision that you forget you're watching an actor at all. It's his first time playing a blind character, and he makes it feel utterly authentic. Park Jung-min is equally compelling as Im Dong-hwan, the son who never knew his mother's face and sets out to uncover the truth of her death forty years later.The film slowly peels back the layers of Dong-hwan's mother, Jeong Yeong-hui. We learn what her life was like, how she and Yeong-gyu came together, and what drove them apart. The final act—especially the last scene—makes you question everything you thought you understood. The revelation of why she died is devastating, and it lingers long after the credits roll.
What makes it even more heartbreaking is Yeong-gyu's story. He was blind from birth, bullied his whole life, and constantly put down for no reason. His life never got better. You begin to understand how society and its standards can push people over the edge. The film forces you to confront the impossible expectations placed on beauty—how people become sheep, following the same cruel opinions without question.
Hearing what happened to Jeong Yeong-hui was terrible. Hearing that people laughed about it was worse. That is the society we live in, and The Ugly holds up a mirror to it without flinching.
