I watched episodes 1 of both this and Early Spring yesterday and this is the one that hooked me. I prefer the more mature, empowered female lead character. I’ll probably go back to Early Spring at some point, but I’ll binge this first.

I agree. He still can pass for highschool the way they styled him. He has the soft innocent eyes of youth.

I was reluctant to start this due to some negative posts online, but I'm enjoying it so far. I haven't watched a regular CDrama in so long because I got addicted to the vertical shorts. This is reminding me how much I enjoy long form dramas and the pace of this one is just right for me. I don't need to watch in 1.5x speed.

I've seen posts on social media who find this show too slow, so 8.6 is still excellent. I personally love it. I started around 6PM on Sunday and finished on Tuesday at 9PM. I watch lots of shows at 1.5x speed, but I watched this in standard speed and sometimes even rewound because a scene was too good.

No way. Her father doesn't deserve to be forgiven by the fabulous mother. He not only cheated, but he made her feel like she wasn't good enough.

Are you implying she had plastic surgery/fillers/etc? if so, you are wrong. you can plainly see in the scene where she has absolutely no makeup that her face is pretty much the same as it has been. she did lose weight, so her face is slightly slimmer, but it's mostly makeup and contouring. she's supposed to look more mature for this role.

She is on Shu Yan's side during the break up arc.

Too many irrelevant people and scenes in last episode. Like did we need crazy Fang Lei meeting with the crooked lawyer? I would rather have heartwarming moments with the family including Yan's grandma and sister.
