Changes from two people
*Sha Qi Shi Yin Cang Da Lao* was an enjoyable marriage-first, love-later drama because neither the ML nor FL is exactly what they appear to be.
The FL enters the marriage with her own secret purpose: she wants to recover the belongings left by her mother. To accomplish this, she pretends to be foolish and harmless, allowing everyone around her—including her new husband—to underestimate her.
But our ML isn't so innocent either. 😂
The CEO is calculating, intelligent, and always seems to be watching his wife, trying to figure out what she is really hiding. Their marriage begins almost like a game, with both characters putting on an act while secretly having their own plans.
What I enjoyed most was watching the ML gradually become attracted to the very wife he originally thought he understood. The more time he spends with her, the more he realizes there is something underneath that "stupid" personality.
And somewhere between suspicion, teasing, protecting her, and trying to uncover her secrets, **the scheming CEO falls in love with his fake little wife for real.** ❤️😂
The FL was also fun because she isn't actually the helpless woman everyone believes her to be. She knows why she entered this marriage and keeps her true abilities hidden until necessary.
Their relationship slowly changes from two people performing for each other into a real husband and wife learning to trust and love one another.
That's what made this drama entertaining for me. Neither character entered the marriage expecting true love, yet the one thing neither could successfully fake was their growing feelings.
