At some level fans need those offscreen rumors and chemistry things like "what if they are dating irl" . It is not a good thing but that is how the hardcore fans react already seen with qot, lovely runner 2. Most times romcoms work because of either young couples or same age couples are paired 3. It wont be on netflix but it will be on jtbc which is good it can create hype i am sure if the story and acting is good then it will receive good ratings but i will be really surprised if it can cross 15 or 20 percent mark. The craze for jun ji hyun in early days was very big but in today's date has reduced finger crossed though

Awards in korea are 90 percent about domestic popularity not skill or anything else..no one can deny that he is the most skilled among the current actors but most of his recent shows did not have the domestic popularity levels of say qot, baym etc

Apan awards popularity voting ranks :1st lee jun ho which is understandable because he's an idol actor and has 2 netflix shows in 2025 but 2nd is seo in guk and 3rd is lee jun hyuk i don't think they had any hit shows recently..i never watched any lee jun hyuk show except stranger s1 and even there he didn't have a ML role..jcw is ranked 4th
I think this show will be really interesting. The premise gives me vibes similar to a hit amazon prime show called "farzi". It will probably double the production costs but they should replace the ml,reshoot the scenes and release it. Other cast members deserve it.

But again it's not so simple. He will gain a lot of non monetary gains like free publicity, positive image etc. Ideal case would be to completely take him out from public eyes(he deserves it) but it's netflix....
