Don't want to jinx it but this might become one of the highest grossing korean film because it has a lot of potential to do well overseas as well and it is already doing well domestically. This will definitely become ji chang wook's highest grossing film for sure by a wide margin.
Not liking chang wook's attitude towards the award shows. No big star should consider that kind of humiliation. Why will you go to an award show for presenting when they have ignored you for so many years? Will kim yoo jung or jun ji hyun etc. Do it? Never. There is a thin line between humility and stupidity. Maybe ji chang wook doesn't have any pride but that's not a good thing because then people will take you for granted. My suggestion as a huge fan: he has to be patient and wait for a career defining role. I think he gave 3 carrer defining roles till now: healer, k2 and empress ki ta hwan and maybe suspicious partner. Currently he is doing 2 big mistakes: he should seriously stop doing more than 1 work per year and He should immediately stop the special appearances. There are 2 possibilities: if he is being paid high even for special appearance and his role is meaningful then good otherwise totally foolish to continue. Take any big star in any film industry: everyone who has appeared continuously on screen has faced criticism: anne hathaway, tom cruise, zendaya etc. Etc. Of course if he can replicate shows like wts and twoe then it's a different matter altogether but very rare. I somehow feel like he is getting too many offers and not able to reject cuz he's a simple guy (and he's getting easily paid) . Only time will tell what will happen. Just look at this year's nominations park bo young, kim go eun, park jinyoung they are all from bh. At some level fans need those offscreen rumors and chemistry things like "what if they are dating irl" . It is not a good thing but that is how the hardcore fans react already seen with qot, lovely runner 2. Most times romcoms work because of either young couples or same age couples are paired 3. It wont be on netflix but it will be on jtbc which is good it can create hype i am sure if the story and acting is good then it will receive good ratings but i will be really surprised if it can cross 15 or 20 percent mark.
