I hope the scandal and merry berry love are decent to good. Colony is already one of the highest grossing korean movie of the year and most probably the highest internationally grossing k film of 2026. After this if ji chang wook doesn't get a daesang in one of the award shows it will be really shameful and 100% he has some issue with someone in the industry because there is literally no one in kdrama industry who has done so much good work in 2026. If he's completely ignored in baeksang again then there are only 2 main possibilities:
Either his agency is really not doing anything for getting him awards or he has some issues with someone big in the entertainment industry or some politician

Guys i don't think we should classify and judge this show as an adaptation of the novel. Even the press articles said its an adaptation of the 2003 movie. It's basically an adaptation of an adaptation so there maybe significant changes.

Ji chang wook is a seriously amazing actor. Just from the 1 min teaser we can see his facial expressions and eye acting which shows playfulness, lust, desperation and much more

Although the teaser was good i am getting a lot of dangerous manipulative vibes and nothing much sensual or romantic. Guess they will show it in the show directly

I am curious though, why did ji chang wook agree to do a cameo here and why he was needed. Is the role really good and important enough that it needs an actor of ji chang wook level? Or is it just to create buzz and bring audience at the start? Maybe he will appear continuously like in queen woo but there he was lead so it's unsure

I don't know how it will turn out but this is the definition of perfect casting for dangerous liaisons. You need good actors who also look really good for this type of story adaptation

It's an unpopular opinion from my side: i am more interested in wookie pairing up actresses like song hye kyo, han so hee and suzy rather than go youn jung. Go youn jung for me was best in moving other than that i didn't enjoy her chemistry with anyone

This tax controversy is absolutely nothing . if there were any serious tax evasion investigation/suspicion then it is handled by division 4 of nts not division 2.it was general audit and if you earn so much then the difference can easily be few billions of krw. Looks like "Colony" will wrap up around 5 million, which is not bad but maybe the expectations were a bit higher. It can go higher obviously depending on weekend numbers but chances seem unlikely

Don't want to jinx it but this might become one of the highest grossing korean film because it has a lot of potential to do well overseas as well and it is already doing well domestically. This will definitely become ji chang wook's highest grossing film for sure by a wide margin.
