I think for Elvis, he's trying to overcome some ptsd from losing in his last race and he's trying to make a last come back. And it looks like for Elaine's character Joe, she might be looking for a change since she is kind of static in both her career and relationship.

haha Amy Chen's character is with Sunny Sun and Elaine and Elvis are the other couple. I just finished ep 4. It's slow but I like the feel of it.

ikr. That was a terrible way to promote their cp before the drama has even started. Especially with the Blossom cp being all lovey dovey. Such a contrast. I haven't started this but I hope the chemistry is better on the drama.

I think Amy Chen should be the main FL. She has way more scenes than Elaine Zhong.

I've finally completed the last 10 eps. I didn't really want to watch it after seeing all the comments but I didn't want to drop it because I like the ML and the first 29 eps were good so I pushed through and I'm glad I did. It wasn't as bad as some of the comments made it out to be.

It's way darker than expected and I'm not sure what the audience expect JYY to do about her situation? She's not dumb. She was doing the best she could given the situation and weighting the odds of surviving and helping all her friends and people she care about to escape Nanzhou. She has no power and no fighting ability but she outsmarted them in the end and helped everyone to get home. There is no misunderstanding between JYY and YJL and they both understood the situation and dealt with it the best they could. Yes, they have very little screen time together in the last 5-6 episodes but they have fully trusted and supported each other even though it might not be what they want. I agree with others that Bai doesn't deserved such a good death and JYY actually cried for him but he did save her and I think being too compassionate was one of her biggest strength and also weakness. I give this an overall 8/10 with extra .5 for ZYC.

Wow how the comments have turned. I didn't have time to check the comments and I stopped at ep 21 and now finally on vacation and wanted to binge the rest of the episodes.

In the beginning, no matter what they do, everything is gold but now when people are frustrated, everything is annoying and people can't wait for it to end. That's quite a turn of event in just a few days.

I'm more shocked that Kim Go Eun did such explicit sex scene when she was barely out of her teens. It really looked like they were actually having sex, no coverup of the private parts. I'm surprised there was no repercussions given Korea is a very conservative country. I think that girl from Lust Caution got banned in China for doing similar sex scenes.

Is that really Elaine Zhong speaking Cantonese or was it dubbed by someone? It's very good, barely an accent.

Same here. I watched for ZYC and I don't regret it. It makes me like him more as an actor and I'm glad they showcased his amazing fighting skills. I want to see him in a wuxia next time!

I haven't watched the last 10 episodes because i was busy and with all these negative comments, I thought I would wait until it finished airing. Yours is the only positive comment I saw so I'll continue watching this weekend. I take it it's a HE?

The 2ML is 31 and the FL is 28 so they are not that far apart and all 3 are playing roles 10 years younger.
