Definitely not true. There are plenty of Chinese dramas with realistic kisses in both modern and historical dramas, particularly short dramas and vertical dramas.

Yup I've seen this so many times in VSDs, it doesn't affect me at all but I can see how someone would be uncomfortable with it, seeing this for the first time. I was like that at first but now, it's like a staple for VSD. It's like FL ordering male escorts and sleeping with them when drunk, as if that's so common and not illegal in China. I just turn off my brain when watching these short drama.

Yeah probably but I don't mind since it's just flashback. The sister and the boy classmate are 27 and 28 years old and they are playing 17 years olds. But they look young and not awkward as high schoolers.

Yeah not sure I can hold on until ep 18. I'll probably give it until ep 12 for them to start opening up and be more genuine.

If you don't like legal drama, then I don't think you'll like this, but you can watch a couple of eps to decide for yourself.

I didn't notice it was 36 eps! I thought it was the normal 24 eps romcom. I seriously hope this pretending not to know each other is not going to last until halfway. I'm finding it annoying even now and I'm only on ep 6.

ML is being so immature in not showing his true self. So is he going to put on that "false self "mask for the rest of his life if he gets together with her? He's so aggravating, especially for a nearly 30 years old. I really don't see why she would like him and have a crush on him for 10 years.

Slight romance. I liked it. If you don't like this, then most likely you won't like All Rise, although the vibe is different and about intern lawyers competing for a position. You can give it a few episodes.

I get her because it was embarrassing and awkward, when she thought he didn't even remember her and she made up this huge fantasy about him. What I don't get is the ML. He has always liked her and he found out she had a crush on him based on her novel and what she has wrote on the wall. What is he playing hard to get?! He should be over the moon. This I don't get.
