I haven't watched season 1 but I'm on episode 10 and I'm enjoying this so far. I like a mature and smart female lead and there are not too many of them in c-dramas. Hope this keeps up...

LTG is the worse character in all of this. He is not exactly a villain so you can't hate him but he has no growth, super reckless and childish. Ying is too good for him and he doesn't deserve to be with her.

All the women in this drama are so badass including the Wu Empress. I love it!

I heard the other Chinese drama with Park Min Young is going to be released as well.

Yes age and look wise, I can't imagine her in the role of RRY. And the gang addressing her as Ruyi jie??? I think she might be more suitable as YY in the beginning...not sure her acting skill can pull off what HLD can do with the character development.

I have to disagree on you with ZLS. In my opinion, she is definitely not suitable for the role of RRY. She ruined WRTW for me but more suitable for LLTG.

Can we please stop with these kind of comments unless you've watched it and judge it yourself? The drama just started recently. There is character growth as well. There is enough censorship in Chinese dramas already. If this continues there will not be enough interesting dramas to watch already since everyone is just so sensitive. It's DRAMA for a reason and not REAL LIVE. If people can't distinguish between that, then should not be watching it.

I didn't find anything odd with his reaction. NYZ said he will go back for her and told the rest to go with original plan. YL has always been sensible and mature in following orders and it was also never implied that he was in love with YY so I didn't find his reaction inadequate.

oh now that you mentioned it, yes I was wondering why it felt kinda quiet, The HK TVB dramas I've watched before, it usually very lively and busy on the streets. That's sad.
