Cute and Funny!

Likes: Jun Ji Hyun...the woman had me burst out laughing in so many parts. Jun Ji Hyun and Kim Soo Hyun's amazing chemistry.

Dislikes: Don't really have any

I just rewatched this as I'm watching another Kim Soo Hyun drama that's currently airing and wanted some more KSH and romcom funny to tide me over until the next episode airs. I had forgotten how funny this drama was, even the 2nd time around.

This drama caused such a sensation all across Asia that literally anything Jun Ji Hyun touched would sell out in seconds. And with good reason...not only is JJH stunningly beautiful, but she's also hilarious in this role. She's not afraid to let her hair down and be wacky and her unique way of speaking just cracked me up. There is no other actress that could have played this character better. GIRL CRUSH!

Oh, Kim Soo Hyun... He's just SO cute! And a good actor. And he plays a super strong alien which means he's got the power to kick some butt EXCEPT he's got a major weakness that will lend itself to some pretty hilarious situations with JJH. This is a great opposites attract romcom that I highly recommend! I mean, I've watched it twice!

Bridget Jones like Noona romcom

Likes: The fun and fiery chemistry between Kim Sun Ah and Hyun Bin hands down! Even with the outdated hairstyle and clothes, Hyun Bin is still so darn cute.

Dislikes: This is an older drama so the quality is on the lower end, but the chemistry between the OTP is fast and immediate so I think it's worth overlooking

This is my very favorite kdrama of all time and one that I always return to when I'm in a kdrama rut. It checks all the boxes in a romcom that I'm looking for. The story is similar to Bridget Jones so it's very light and easy to watch. Kim Sun Ah is so funny and relatable as the single older noona who is just trying to get through life when she meets Hyun Bin, the rich hotelier who does nothing but tease and antagonize her. The chemistry and banter is so fun and fiery and right off the bat that it just sucks you in! It's a great enemies to lover romcom.

How far are you willing to go in order to stay alive?

Tension packed 8 episode netflix drama featuring Kento Yamazaki and his friends trying to survive in deadly games in an alternate abandoned Tokyo. Each survival game will test the characters...how far are you willing to go to stay alive?

Man...there were so many moments where I forgot to breathe. Every episode is intense, bloody and brutal. It was shot well. The acting was good. It was nice to see Kento and Tao paired up yet again in their what...maybe 3rd or 4th time? The editing for the most part was fast paced and kept the tension throughout. The format sometimes reminded me of the Walking Dead where we see flashbacks and glimpses of the character's previous life before the change.

Overall this series was really good. However, you will be left with quite a few questions which makes me think there will be a S2. At least I'm really hoping for one. I watched this for Kento, but came out liking the series as a whole. Would def recommend!

LOVED IT!

Likes: Hyun Bin in uniform...need I say more?

Dislikes: Yeah...you're going to have to throw logic out the window.

If you like a good forbidden love story with sparks flying, then do yourself a favor and watch this drama. This was a CRACK drama for me...completely addicting and left me in pieces until I could get more. The chemistry was sooo good! Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin are a match made in heaven and I really couldn't get enough!

I loved that the story had some action and danger mixed in with the humor, flirtiness, and longing. I have to admit, at first I didn't quite like SYJ's bratty character, but it didn't take long for me to warm up to her and find her comical. As for Hyun Bin, I'm biased, but I think it'll be hard not to fall for his charming innocence, protective instincts, and humorous reactions.

If you can turn a blind eye to some of the logistics to the story, then I think you'll be in for a very fun time.

All female celebrity soccer match

I'm absolutely LOVING this soccer reality show! I am so not a sports person, but the passion that all these female celebrities and non celebrities bring to the game makes this so much fun to watch! Most of them are newbies to soccer so they are still learning the rules and training, which actually makes the games more exciting because it's so unpredictable. I think it also helps that the soccer field is smaller so it's more fast paced than a regular game. But even if they are desperate to win against each other, there's still this underlying form of female support that I just love seeing. There are not enough Korean variety/reality shows that feature women, so seeing this type of female comradery is inspiring and touching. I can't wait to see who will come out on top in the tournament!

My fav players so far:

Team Gavengers (comedian team): Kim Min Kyung, Ahn Young mi, Oh Nami, , Cho Hye Ryun
Team Fire Moth: Park Seon Young - she is awesome!
Team Gucheok Tall (models): Hyun Lee, Han Hye jin, Cha Soo min
Team World Class (foreigners): Elodie, Saori
Team Actionista (Action actresses) - can't wait to watch them play
Team National - don't remember seeing them play yet

The only thing I find a little annoying are the repetitive replay clips. Replaying once is good, but sometimes they replay it like 3 times. A lot of variety shows are guilty of this. I wish they'd cut that down some.

Gritty and dark with bits of humor. Only 6 eps

Wow! Gritty, dark, funny, and foul....this short 6 ep drama sure packs an emotional punch! Inspired by Kim Bo tong's own experience of some cases in the D.P unit, this drama sheds light on the awful bullying and hazing that can occur in the military.

I thought the director did a fantastic job balancing the tone between heavy vs funny and keeping the pace tight. I didn't have to skip any scene. And the cast did an amazing job making their characters realistic. Jung Hae In delivered the right amount of good, dark, and toughness to his character. Koo Kyo Hwan continues to delight me with his unique color and flair that he brings to all his characters. His comic timing is spot on! The supporting cast also were all so believable in their roles.

While the bromance between Hae In and Kyo Hwan is fun to watch, the subject matter is very heavy and disturbing. They don't hold back on the violence, cursing, and trauma shown, but that's what I really liked about this drama. It's refreshing to see something so raw. It makes this drama more impactful by sending a clear message to the military. Changes need to be made. Hopefully Netflix will greenlight season 2 as I read the production team hasn't finished telling all their stories.

Rich Man/Poor girl story with hilarious moments

Likes: Jang Hyuk's eccentric portrayal of the character that made me burst into laughter. Jang Nara's natural acting. One specific prenatal class that had me ROFL.

Dislikes: Jang Hyuk's middle hair part about midway through the drama. It drove me CRAZY. I just wanted to push his hair to the side.

So this story will feel familiar as it's been remade in so many countries and is similar to a lot of marriage contract rich man/poor girl dramas with the exception of 1 thing...Jang Hyuk's weirdness. hahaha. His eccentric take on this character was so interesting and funny that I would burst into laughter at his weird laughter. He's so weird and a bit awkward..but I liked it. It made me laugh and brought interesting layers to his character.

Jang Nara brought the heart to the story. She plays meek and kind very well. When she cried, I cried. The odd pairing works and the roller coaster that these two go through will bring laughter and tears. I have to confess though, I did speed through some of the side stories to get back to the OTP.

Oh and Ailee's OST is awesome!

What a breath of fresh air!

Likes: The character of Yiseo and Kim Da Mi playing her. Park Seo Joon's...well...everything. The Itaewon setting and vibe of the drama. The great emotional acting.

Dislikes: the 2nd half of the drama sort of lost it's way. the time lapse to the future where everything sort of wraps up neatly in 1 episode type of thing. The cliche sub stories to advocate diversity.

It's so rare to come across really cool female leads that are smart, mean, and likeable. I love the character of Yiseo for not pretending to be nice, for being smart, strong and confident, and being able to fight for herself. And I love the actress Kim Da Mi that plays her. I remember watching the Witch Part 1 and asking who is this kick ass actress that blows me away with her natural acting? And again she doesn't disappoint in this drama. She is definitely one to watch.

Park Seo Joon really blew me away with his intense emotional scenes in this drama. I've always thought of him as a great actor, but he really shined in this one. It's a memorable character with a memorable haircut. :-)

I loved that they set this in Itaewon as it's almost it's own character, but I thought that they were trying too hard to be diverse and hip. If you are going to try to open up minds, then you should flesh out the sub stories better instead of going down a cliched route. The first half of the drama was so good, but the second half I felt the story sort of lost it's way. Overall though, I did like it...just wish it could have been a little tighter.

Half comedy, Half parody, with some romance mixed in

If you like parodies, you should try this little gem of a series. While not a full on parody, it comes close as it exaggerates and makes fun of common kdrama tropes and cultural references in a ridiculous fun silly way. The comic timing was great and I laughed every episode with the exception of episode 1 which was super boring.

I loved the entire cast, the script, the editing, the sound effects...it all came together for a great office comedy without being too over the top. Some of the humor was obvious or low brow, but some of it was very clever too. I wonder though if non kdrama viewers would find this funny, as a lot of the jokes referenced things that only kdrama viewers would understand with a wink and a chuckle.

Highly recommend if you are a fan of silly comedies or parodies!

Fun like Fast & the Furious!

If you are looking to get your fill on some thrilling car chase scenes, I would suggest giving this entertaining movie a try! Sure, a lot of these maneuvers you've probably seen before, but it's still a lot of fun. The story is not going to win any awards in originality, but the action more than makes up for it. At first, I didn't quite believe Park So Dam as her character as I found her nonchalant expression a bit too exaggerated, but as time went on, it started to get better and I started to believe her and her ass kicking. The kid also did a great job with acting esp for someone so young. I'd def recommend this to those of you who feel like watching a fun popcorn movie!

Sweet, light, breezy watch

I really fell for this little gem of a drama. It's light, simple, and so sweet. The ML Minho kind of reminds me of the ML in A Love So Beautiful (chinese version) where he quietly harbors feelings for the FL and struggles to keep them in check. It's that same slow steady quiet burn that had me wanting more. I just really loved watching the close bond of the best friend relationship between the leads and hoping like crazy it would turn into something more.

For his debut drama, I thought NCT's Jaehyun did a decent job as the ML. I can see he has potential as he made the ML sweet and thoughtful without being cringey. I can't say his acting wasn't entirely without fault, but that goes for the entire cast who scream rookie vibes with the exception of HyeSoo who was so obviously the more experienced of the bunch. But even with the rookie acting, it still worked with the fun collegiate atmosphere and the story flowed pretty well with the exception of the last 3 episodes., I don't know what happened there, but the tone was way off and awkward (like WTF was up with that cringey wedding dance?! Did anyone else suffer major 2nd hand embarrassment watching that disaster?). It almost felt like the last 3 eps were filmed in the beginning of the shoot before the cast became comfortable with each other. But all in all, I still really liked this and will probably watch this again just for that steady burn that I so love. For those of you who don't feel like watching anything too serious, this may be a good option for you.

Anyone who understands Life's struggles should watch this

My mom raved about this drama and normally we don't have the same tastes, but I think what makes this show so great is that every generation will be able to appreciate the messages. This show doesn't shy away from exposing the ugly truths of human nature, but it also shows the touching side as well. We follow the lives of a close knit community in Jeju as they navigate through the struggles of life and their own emotional baggage.

Likes: With a star studded cast, the acting from everyone felt very natural and heartfelt, but it was the less famous character actors such as Lee Jung Eun, Park Ji Hwan, and Choi Young Joon who really stood out in my eyes. They felt like the glue that made the community feel alive and real. What made this show stand out is that it was unapologetic about exposing the flaws of each character. It didn't try to glamorize or label a person as evil or nice. It just showed that no one is perfect and we do what we need to do in order to survive according to our experiences. This show knows how to poke those hidden truths, stir up emotions, and make us feel as if the character's emotions are our own. It was funny, sad, touching, and healing.

I have to mention one scene that made an impact on me. That emotional fight scene between Ji Hwan and his son.....I think anyone who has immigrant parents or parents who struggled to get by financially will be able to relate to the emotions in that scene. Ji Hwan's acting was amazing. He truly made it unforgettable in my mind due to his raw emotion.

Dislikes: Ok so I may have a little bias in this one since I'm not a huge fan of Lee Byung Hun so take it with a grain of salt, but I found his story line with Shin Mina really boring. This was the only storyline where I wanted to skip. I just couldn't connect and wasn't feelin the loveline. Also, I found having Woobin and Shin Mina in the same drama, but with different lovers distracting. It felt weird seeing LBH kiss SM, but then WB being all chummy with LBH in another scene. I know it's acting, but my mind would wander into that whole, dude that man just kissed your pregnant wife, etc...and I couldn't help notice the lack of a kiss in the WB loveline when I felt like there should have been. It's easier to forget someone has a real like significant other when they are not in the same drama, but having them in the same show was like a little reminder that kept distracting me from the story. But all in all, these are very small dislikes compared to the enjoyment overall.

Highly recommend checking this out if you like family dramas and are ready for some emotional ups and downs.

Light, fluffy, short, and cute

Short, cute, and mindless...just what I was looking for. This little drama is a breeze to watch. The main reason I was able to keep going with this drama, despite the average acting and storyline, is because of the cute chemistry between the leads. They fall head over heels pretty quickly, but it somehow was believable Lots of flirting and cute jealousy moments, not to mention many kisses and pecks(although the kisses are a bit too PG).

The two leads act so cute with each other. Normally that is not my thing. Normally too many childish antics will make me roll my eyes and sometimes want to vomit, but here, I oddly found it really cute. I'm going to have to attribute that to the actors themselves. They somehow made me smile instead of gag. Kudos, leads, Kudos,

I will say though, you will have to overlook some things like the acting not being the greatest if it calls for any kind of intense emotion, the story being just kind of Eh, and the badly animated cat character which took some getting used to, but in the end, what can I say, it's cute scurrying waddle grew on me.

I should warn though that the ending is not really an ending as it's leads into S2. IMO, they should have wrapped everything up in S1. S2 was a bit too ridiculous for me, so I didn't really enjoy S2.

Only stayed for the smokin hot bad boy

Likes: Tsao Yu Ning is smokin hot as the bad boy bodyguard Li Teng. There's a reason girls flock towards bad boys and he captured all of those reasons. The skinship was swoony and the desire was hot.

Dislikes: All was fine until around episode 10 where everything just got incredibly cheesy. It became like a low budget soap opera. The greasy confessions had me running for the exit.

I honestly would have dropped this drama had it not been for Tsao Yu Ning's bad boy intensity. The tension was hot, but it wasn't enough to save the lameness of the story after ep9. And while I liked that the FL was believable in her self defense moves, overall I just found her meh.

Relatable and adorable romcom!

This romcom is ADORABLE! They took the awkwardness, self doubt, and insecurities that come with dating and made it refreshingly funny and clever. The animation cells remind me of Pixar's INSIDE OUT concept where each cell is in charge of a feeling and serves as the leads' inner voice, often delivering the funny punchlines as well.. Being able to see and hear behind the mask is what makes this drama so fun and relatable.

Kim Go Eun is effortlessly natural as Yumi, showing Yumi's loneliness, awkwardness, and insecurities to relatable perfection. Go Eun's talent of being able to convey so much through her eyes and expressions alone is what makes this drama work. It lines up with the animated scenes and you can just feel what she's thinking. It also lends to the comedy as well. By playing it realistic, those embarrassing situations are even funnier and cuter.

I liked the chemistry she had with Ahn Bo Hyun and would have liked more scenes of them instead of all the anime. That was my one gripe. While the anime is cute and clever,, there was just too much of it and sometimes it got boring..
I would have much rather seen the chemistry play out between the leads than watching it through the anime characters. I hope this is something they'll fix in season 2. Can't wait!
