I lost it in this episode again- Which school student has a full set of coffee on his desk, not only including coffee powder, but also the suitable cups. LOL. I love Thai series for their open advertisements. In my home country this is not allowed...
You are new to MDL, right? Never trust the ratings on MDL. This isn't rated because it's not a GMMTV production, neither Ohm, nor Nanon play in it. You will see that 90% of all series here in MDL are rated even BEFORE they air...
Isn't this a bit childish to reduce this to one episode? Ohm and Nanon will be, in fact, in three episodes. Today, tomorrow and in the other cross over episode next week. Only because EarthMix appear tomorrow half of BB fans freak out.
To my complete surprise ABAAB managed to be much worse than Star in My Mind. At least in the JoongDunk series…
Although I liked ABAAB and think, so far, this was the best in Our Skyy (not because it is fabulous, but because the other sets of episodes did not give me any vibes), I also spotted the absence of the supports. Those two episodes were clearly focused on ForceBook and riding on their popularity. All others were reduced to mere extras.
ABAAB were, for me, the best episodes so far. It had all, except some spicy scenes, but I can live with that. The topic was, actually, the same as last week's MSP: a role switch. However, in ABAAB Cher tried to be the boss, but Cher's personality always came up. That was fun. In MSP last week, it was just switching the actors, so it looked absolutely boring. I am sad that ABAAB is over, 'n hope that there will be a special any time in the near future.
This was for me the best set of episodes so far. Really entertaining. The role switch made sense, Cher being the boss was perfect. A total contrast to MSP.
That was okay. A bit too "Make BL films for dummies", but solid.
I don't get the "chicken and beer" thing near the end, because they apparently eat a shrimp soup with red wine. Is that a joke or just a translation error?
Hmmm....I would venture to say that most of us here are not okay with the elderly Western sex tourists (and now…
I see that I am a bit too harsh. I wrote after reading comments here and on Reddit. Yes, it is quite an age gap. But both are mature, and it's legal. I am into mature people, anyway, and I would've chosen the Uncle Kiew over the younger.
My shout-out was not only directed to the viewers, but also to the series (doubt, though, they are reading). It is quite normal in Thailand to have an older husband. Creepy or not, it is how it is. My ex-bf's sister (22 yo)'s husband is 64, by the way. They even have a daughter now. Quite normal here.
I don't understand the people who rumble about the age gap. Thailand is literally a country, where Western sex tourists of age 70+ jump on 12yo boys 'n girls. No one even gives a #### about that. But when a 20yo goes with a 40yo, people totally freak out.

The range of verifiable trueness can be between 1 - 100 %; I have already seen writers who just claim that it is true. I have written pieces on "true events". It is, in fact, also a legal issue. If it is too true one might get into legal issues. Biographical/autobiographical stories would be considered as always true, but even then many authors (or filming directors) throw a bit of fiction into.
I don't know what's true and not here. I guess, the actors and the director will talk about this series finished.
Does anyone have a list of all the time travel BL?
You can search and filter "time travel" and "gay character"/"gay relationship". Unfortunately, there is no "BL" or similar keyword, but many of the results are actually BL style. History 1, 609 Bedtime Story, Tinted with you, Once again. If you play a bit with the tags you might get more results.
Is there anybody who knows the real story? I mean, it's from a real story, right? How similar is the series to…
"Based on true events" or similar can have a wide meaning. It does not necessarily mean that what we see in the series is what happened in reality. It just means that the writer/developer was inspired by something real. What this "real" is, we cannot say. Since the title is "The Promise", my guess would be that this promise is real. Unless the writer/director/developer reveals it, we will not know...
Well.. one year later. It just popped up on my YT: https://youtu.be/Lt5DbD2HQ3sMaybe this helps others. Hope you…
I just finished it. I found it okay. It is nothing special. And it is not BL, though one of the leads is gay and has a crush on the other. It has a happy end, though (for the lead, maybe not for the viewer).
It reminds me of "Coffee Shop" with Boy/Tod from 2022. Only that there they solved issues with talking and coffee, here with talking and ice cream.
Episodes are around 20 minutes, so all in all a bit more than 1 1/2 hours. I recommend to watch it. If you are only in BL, maybe it won't be your cup of tea. The focus is really and the girl-boy relation.

...and it does not disappoint me. This definitely will be in my top 5 of this year...
