Title Squid Game Season 3 Spoiler
I....dunno what to say.

You had such a promising show in your hands, and you did what? Removed any emotional impact those characters had, made their deaths the most pointless thing in the show, and in the end, none of this didn't even matter! Not ONE thing those characters did mattered! The only thing that did, are the leftovers from the first and second season (Cheol finding his mother and Noeul finding her daughter), and even this felt like thrown out scraps.

Jun Hee sacrificed herself, so Gihun could take care of her child. Now, Gihun is dead because he forgot to press a button ✌️✌️ and Jun Hee's child in care of some rando man she never ever met.

You would think that Myeonggi would redeem himself with the sad looks he throws at her now and then? Nah, he was actually a rat all along. Which, lol, i can take that, but why the sad looks then?

Did camaraderie formed between Gihun and Inho, which led to them questioning their own morals, EVER mattered in this season? NO!

What about the Hwang brothers? Did they talk shit out at least once? You can wish, brother, but not there.

Not gonna talk about Junhos character at all because he's as useless here as he was in second season, which is devastating, because he was amazing in the first one.

And I'm not even talking about turning Daeho from a marine with PTSD into a petty liar, this will make me furious for weeks.

You tried to put some lesson on morality in this show? Welp, you completely and utterly failed in this season. Because any attempt to put some morality veil over this dumpster on fire failed miserably. This is not about some questions on humanity anymore, this is an action/thriller cashgrab. And this is a tragedy, because the first season was phenomenal. It's a shame it turned into this.

(Really ironic though that the only character that somewhat mattered is Minsu, and i always felt like no one cares about him but me, and he STILL was thrown away without any thought at the end, like every other character)

Finding out Suzy Choi's actress is homophobic has put me off finishing the series. Why play a gay/bisexual character…
"Through her agency, SALT Entertainment, the actress has given the apology. "We apologize for causing concern. Please understand that it is difficult for us to state our official position," her agency is quoted as telling to Sports Kyunghyang by Koreaboo."

It seems like she isn't really homophobic, but she can't support lgbt either because she will get backlash for that, but her husband absolutely is a piece of shit, because instead of apologizing, he just deleted the post.

"Hateful" well yes! I fear it is common sense to criticise a country that is homophobic, racist, and misogynistic, like i would criticise my own! Shutting your mouth and closing your eyes on mistreatment doesn't mean that it won't eventually happen to you, like it did to me.

Also, very curious that of all people, you specifically chose another gay person to cry about it. Like I don't have real life experiences with violent homophobia that happened in front of my own eyes.

Stop defending a country that is openly racist, homophobic, and VERY misogynistic. They're not gonna love you for it.

I have GAY friends who live here, and they have it way harder than gay people have it in China, when both countries say that "They do not care", SK handles it way worse. It's not bashing, it's simple truth. South Korea is hostile to many groups of people, even its own citizens. If you have it good, it doesn't mean that everyone does. It just means that you managed to fit perfectly into the "norm", and, yet again, not everyone does.

Stop defending it with this "tradition and values" bs, i know something about both, living in near dictatorship and all, and i can say with my full chest that they are not always good.

I would say that opinion on coming out depends very highly on your country. For example, if you would be scorned, but ultimately could find a job/your life is not at risk, go for it. But in countries where your life highly depends on how you can fit in conservative viewpoints, and if otherwise you would be killed/imprisoned/shunned from society (Not being able to find any job because your reputation is ruined is a thing that happens to us a lot), like it is in a country where i live, then being cautious is more important. For yourself, and for you lover.

I would love to tell everyone too, but I'm scared for my life way more, because my birthplace would love to wipe out all gay people from this planet . That's why i understand completely Jiwons viewpoints. He's just scared.

Yes, i also believe that Jeong U is free to come out, to tell the whole world that he's dating a man, but if Jiwon is against it, he cannot tell EVER who exactly is he dating. And i fear that's something that Jeong U is not going to like, considering how proud he is to be with his lover.

This is a very complicated situation. My ex girlfriend and i were like that, and ultimately, it was a cause of a break up. In a world that is not nice to you, love does not conquer all, sadly.

No one deserves to be anyone's secret, but what choice do you have, when your life can be ruined beyond repair?

Just want to remind people that you don't owe anyone your "outing". No matter how much love there is, society is much much scarier when everything is on the line. Your work, your life. Maybe in other places, you're free to be yourself. But it is not safe like that everywhere.

I've seen people bashing Jiwon for not wanting to out their relationship, and all i have to say is that those people clearly do not know what it's like to be a gay person in a highly homophobic country, where if anyone finds out, you're DONE. This is sad, yes, but also realistic.

He's scared for himself, and also for his lover. SK homophobia is no joke, trust me.

I really loved that it had what season 2 of WHC lacked in my eyes: very prominent emotional aspect. You don't see often MLs being portrayed as complex, morally gray characters, especially in dramas of this genre. It had a lot of action scenes, a bit too much in my eyes, but it balanced out with every emotional scene, and every one of them was well done. (One of my favourites was when asshat idk name of said that Eui Gyeom was broken beyond repair just like his player, but at that moment, it already wasn't thanks to his friend. This is a really transparent metaphor but i loved it.)

It is only similar to WHC1 in my eyes in a way that it had strong emotional impact. I would say it's not fair to compare them in any other way.

I had to put my hand up and I’m like why with all the snake scenes. His father is right, it’s gross and perverted…
Well, i would've understood that if i said something rude in my comment, but i didn't, so i was confused. Still, it's alright.

The comments her own grandmother made about Bong I's "assets", a 19 y.o girls body to a grown ass MAN were distressing…
I fear someone who still goes to school in the first half of the show is gonna be a "girl" on all accounts to me, especially compared to a 25 y.o. man, who understandably looks older than 25.

And believe me, i know how hard parents try to set their children with random ahh people. Doesn't mean that it's right tho, especially if you experienced it yourself.

So i have a little question. A lot of people said that SA scenes are normal for CBL, so i wanted to clarify: Is there any SA scenes between main characters in the novel? I know i cannot account for the scenes that may happen in the drama that didn't happen in the novel, but can anyone spoiler if that's something that potentially may happen?

Because if it is, i would like to drop the show rn without rating it, cause considering that the show already did it once, it will most likely include scenes from the novel too.

Wow, getting a little bit personal here, no? I didn't insult you.
What you said was "His father is right, it's gross and perverted", so you agreed with Cheng's father in calling snake keeping a perverted hobby.

People complaining about snakes must be Europeans coz snakes are so common in Asia, Australia and America.
I dunno, I'm European, but i live in a city where Spring-Summer-Autumn season is very humid, so it's pretty common to see small/medium snakes in forest areas, and we even have warnings for them. I'm pretty sure that's just people from full-on industrial cities talking.
