I mean I let it slide because it's fiction but it really is plain animal abuse.... Those habitats are really bad…
Awww, that's amazing. I hope it's gonna be healthy and happy!

I mean, most of them are plain CGI, except for the snake that CC parades on his arm. But, yes, it is dangerous for a snake to be outside of its terrarium for so long, especially if the climate outside of it is far from being a desirable one.

But people are not worried that the snake is being harmed. They are worried because the snakes are "scary", so....

I actually love the snakes dunno why a lot of people are being so dramatic about it, but i gotta admit it's a little cheesy. Bro is very emo about them.

Fun fact, snakes cannot experience affection like many other animals can, but they can get familiar with their owner and feel "relaxed" around them, indicating that even though they don't experience affection, they experience trust.

Edit: Yall are really more bothered by snakes than by SA scene... this is....a choice.....

I had to put my hand up and I’m like why with all the snake scenes. His father is right, it’s gross and perverted…
Perverted? Those are just animals tho. How it is different from keeping a lot of dogs or cats? I understand not liking snakes or finding them scary, but saying that something is perverted cause you dislike it is wrong too.

Same lmao. There was a scene, idk which ep, but they were in a life-threatening situation and started talking…
I mean i get it, they're kids, they talk about stuff like that to be less nervous is stressful situations. But i remember it happening like all the time after episode six, which is...a Choice. It's almost like they forgot that they're in a zombie apocalypse, cause they started acting like it's a romance/melodrama.

Fiction has the power to transport us to a less homophobic world through the art of storytelling, and while it…
Preferring happy gay stories is not shameful, no. But saying that this one is bad because it's not like other billions BLs with happy ending should be shameful. And no, I'm not saying that you said or implied something like that, but i wrote the OG comment precisely because there's plenty of people who DID say that.

I added the part about BLs being straight up fetishization, because most BLs are not done to represent gay people, they are cash grabs targeted towards mostly non queer women, that's why they have no representation and that's why i do not consider MOST BLs to be good. I cannot take them seriously, especially when works like this one receive so much criticism.

Sure, there are good ones, but the good ones, the happy go lucky ones, are more often than not are boycotted due to having actual representation.

We should have positive gay stories, yes. But not the ones that are literally afraid to say the word "gay" out loud, but still pretend that they care about anything else besides money.

People criticize this show simply because it doesn't have "a good ending", because it's "sad". All i said that it was realistic. If you want something else, go watch those fairytale fiction works, like i said. But we do need more of stories like THIS, because we need representation, a thing BLs and GLs tend to overlook in a world "Where everyone is gay and nothing bad ever happens".

Edit: Besides, i thought that everyone knew that BLs are mostly done out of fetishization, not representation.

My issue is most of the actors looked too old to be senior high school students. Arent they supposed to be playing…
I fear this is a worldwide problem, in every school show. There isn't much good teenage actors, so most shows just cast 20-somethings, in the best case scenario. And even considering that most 20+ y.o look quite young, you can still tell that those are adults who are growing out of their teenage features. But, taking in consideration what i said above, i just learned to pretend not to notice it. Cause i fear this is not changing any time soon.

Hell, boyhood casted 30y.o Im Siwan for the role of a highschooler, and no one questioned it, so...it be like that. Lol.

And I've seen so many of this comments on tiktok😭 it's actually annoying me now Like does WHC live rent free…
Yep. I mean, i love WHC, season one is one of my favourite shows ever, but it is not an original idea by any means. There's countless stories about bullying/schools/school bullying/revenge, because our lives are sad like that. It is kinda hard to make every drama in this niche stand out, but to me, almost every show with this setting succeeded so far. So calling HSH a dupe is simply disrespectful, especially towards the creator.

On One: High School Heroes Jun 2, 2025
I don't know why exactly people keep comparing this to WHC if the topic of bullying in South Korea is a very big one. It's not a secret that bullying is something that is depicted way more realistically than any romance drama, cause this is something people in SK face in their everyday life, in their workplaces, schools, universities, hell, on the streets. This is no shocker that there will be a lot of stories like this, especially if the drama is set in highschool setting.

So, no, not every school drama that focuses on bullying and someone going against it should be called a WHC knockoff. Otherwise, you should call dramas like The King of Pigs, Boyhood, Friendly Rivalry, Study Group etc WHC copies by that logic too, no matter that all of those are completely different.

The friendship felt forced, don’t y’all think? It didn’t feel as natural as in season 1
Yep, i agree. This season showed just enough to nod and say, yeah, they're probably on good terms. But not enough to think that they formed deep and lasting bonds.

I get your frustration with double standards in general, but bringing that argument here, on a case that has nothing…
That's alright. Compared to what happened below, this is a civil conversation lol. I'm not gonna pretend that i do not agree with the hate that he's getting, but i see that we have different views, and that's fine.

Perhaps you didn't blame or called her anything, but many people below our discussion, most of whom i blocked simply for that, did. So, yes, to me it is a matter of men vs women, becuse even if there is a "gender war", only one side is always losing. And not the one people always rush to defend.

I read endless articles on this case. And if, IF the woman is truly is somewhat faulty, LJW is guilty too. But the only person catching strays by his defenders is her. Wonder why.

Man, i am not arguing with a person who did not even understand the original statement: That people always come to defend men, no matter how much of their guilt is proven, but close their eyes on blatant bullying towards women.

Which has everything to do with this case, where the woman is posed as a filthy liar and a witch, but a man is, of course, a saint. But don't worry, the deeply misogynistic South Korean law system will always be on your beloved's man side. It doesn't matter what random people on the internet say, so don't even bother with me.

And surprisingly enough, for some reason, the man is always in the right in the eyes of fans, be it true, or not. Hmm. But, sure. It has nothing to do with gender.

Just wanna say that yall people are faster than the light itself when it comes to defending any man, look for any smallest clues under the floorboards to prove their "innocence", but get real quiet when women are confirmed to be victims (AKA Sae Ron case). Yall as easy to read as an YA novel.

Title Sweet Home Season 2 Spoiler
What was the point of making an asshole character a little bit better, killing him off, and replacing him with some dumbahh parasite? Like sure we get useless glimpses of his original personality, but to me, he's dead dead. Using his face for an even more unlikeable character just pisses me off more.

I get it, if that was in the original webtoon, but maybe then i'm pissed both at the webtoon and the show. If you kill off almost all the likeable characters, and leave people with like three alright ones (i do not count the kids cause that's a given), maybe you had it coming.

So apparently the cast is down for Season 2 centered on their university life. Idk if that's ever gonna happen…
Oh lol fr? We can only pray that the show will focus on them this time around, if season 2 is gonna be greenlit. Which is highly unlikely.
