I FINALLY WATCHED IT! After hunting the internet for what seems like a year I managed to find an English subtitle file that I could use with a raw mp4 file of the episode (feel free to message me for the .srt file) and let me just say, this was absolutely gorgeous. Made me cry, made me laugh, made me smile. I wish they had expanded more on the ending, but overall, this was totally amazing. ;__;

The first 2 episodes were nice, but I'm still a little afraid given my track record of disliking Idol Romance BLs at the halfway point ;___;

I get what you mean, truly. When you write it like that, I do see how it could be seen as "settling for queerbating" essentially. But the writers for this season had to make the storyline work despite one of the main leads dropping out. It would've been an enormous shame to replace Yoo Han's actor and a lousy plot decision to make Yeon Woo fall for someone else right after meeting his soulmate. What I meant with my statement was that even though there might not be the relationship aspect, we still have Yeon Woo as an openly gay character, which is still a huge step that they actually admit that.

One thing I disagree with, though, is that "it's wrong to just portray a gay character in a drama not being in a relationship". I personally don't think that's the case. A lot of BL content is exclusively made to fetishize gay relationships, and it can be exhausting to see. Way too many BL shows lack proper script-writing or character traits and replace it with skinship and tacky storytelling. Queer characters need more depth than just "want to fall in love". This season *might* (I mean, we don't even know yet, it's hasn't even aired) just be a non-romance mystery drama, just like there are hundres of "straight" non-romance mystery dramas. This one just has an openly gay character, and there shouldn't be anything wrong with that. It's not like he isn't in a relationship, he IS still soulmates with Yoo Han. There just might not be any romantic scenes, and that should be okay too.

I'm afraid my brain is thinking too dark thoughts, but I'm wondering if maybe Ho Sung's ex-girlfriend is pregnant and that's why she had to drop out? I might've hallucinated, but the most recent time she called Ho Sung (when he thought it was a prank call) I could've sworn I saw a baby bump for a second😭

Even though it says 93% ENG, it actually has 100%! I saw the whole thing thinking "ahh it's ok to be oblivious sometimes", but the full thing was subbed for some reason, despite the marker saying otherwise :-)

EXACTLY! I love Hyunjun so dearly but his acting was just not up to level with the others (fair enough, it was his first acting role). I don't understand why people are so quick to dismiss this just because it won't be BL. Queer characters are more than just their love stories, it could be amazing with more normalized friendships between queer and straight characters! :-)

I'M SO EXCITED!!! The cover looks so good, I lowkey think I'll prefer this to season 1😭😭

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe Seok Ho is a character that gets introduced in the webtoon, and I think he stirs shit up!

I'm in Denmark, so they've only started releasing the episodes now (cries) because the subbers need time to make Danish subtitles (even though I use the English ones anyway), so to me it's a new show lol! I've just seen the first two episodes, and the next two will be out next week :D
