Did the Japanese experiment on the creatures, to make them enormous, or were the creatures already that size? They look like they were once human, and mated with the aliens from Alien the movies and some bat species. Or did they come from outer space with the meteorites? Are the Japanese planning to unleash them on Changsha and beyond, to conquer the country?

Sorry for rambling... like the drama. It is taking me forever to finish episode 23. I have been watching it for 90 minutes. 🤣 Reading the comments is more interesting than watching the episode.😂

Chan and Zeng in this drama, make one of the best looking ML C-drama teams. Despite the age difference, they look complimentary on screen. I don't know if there is a comparable ML team in K-dramas.

I was looking at Ba Ye rambling about "towers within towers and perils within perils" in episode 23, and it occured to me that Ba Ye is the screen incarnation of the creator, Xu Lei/Nan Pai San Shu. At the same time, Xu fantasizes that he is the enigmatic, handsome Fo Ye/Zhang Qi Shan.

Same here! I was going to say that I watched the shows, based on the main cast. William Chan epitomized Fo Ye Zhang Qi Shan. There was another actor who played a young ZQS in a prequel, and he even looked similar to the enigmatic Chan/Fo Ye.

I don't think Nan Pai San Shu knows the plot until he makes it up. At this point in time, the Tomb films and dramas have outrun Game of Thrones and the Lord of the Rings and Star Wars franchises on screen.

I noticed the two actors playing the Japanese characters are talking Japanese slowly. It must be the same drama voice coach who trained Stokes to speak Chinese in Season 1. 😂😂
