It would have been nice if they included the year the story took place in the title, but I don't think the producers and Kennedy had a big picture vision back then.

I stepped away for a few minutes, and when I came back, Xu Lao Gao was back to normal. Did they sprinkle magic water on him? 🤣🤣🤣

I would suggest you start with Season 2. You would get bogged down with tombs in Season 1. I think there were a total of four tombs, and a lot of time was spent in them. Also some repetitive flashbacks!

Henry Cox was searching for the secret of immortality in the Lu Han Wu Xie movie. I haven't seen that movie in many years. I think he was an old man. I can't remember if he was killed off. Cox was also played by Andrew Charles Stokes. Cox just changed his name from Hendry to Henry. I was never sure if the surname was Hendry or Cox.

I was also wondering since Wu Xie is the grandson. There would be at least 40 years' age difference between them. He might appear in a time skip/jump. Wu Xie might find His grandfather's diary?

He might make a cameo at the end. The production company might be introducing the next TBD drama, Wu Xie Si Jia Bi Ji Season 2 (aka Time Raiders 2). Notation on Dramawiki page: Filming Period: 2026-May-14 to TBA! Xu Zhen Xuan has five drama credits as Wu Xie on his MDL resume.

She shows up around episode 19, when Fo Ye, Wu Laogou and the other Gates go to Beiping for the auction at her hotel.

If it ends with a cliffhanger, we won't see Season 3 for another ten years. Fo Ye and Ba Ye will be old. LOL I hope the scriptwriters conclude the story.

I don't pay any attention to the two Japanese men. The one who is fixated with Xiang Gu is a stalker.

Fo Ye and company are back in the tombs where Time slows down. The watches were burnt. Hatoyama Yoshishi must know the secret.

I was going to comment on it. He seemed fine before. He and Huo Xiang Gu are both sick. Wu Lao Gou is recovering from amnesia. Chen Pi and Hei Bei Lao Liu are recovering from gun shot wounds. Hong Er Ye hasn't done much in the drama. Fo Ye is on his own again. Best Team Leader Award!

Does it feel like Time starts to drag whenever they go into the tombs? LOL I guess they will be spending most of the remaining seven episodes roaming the tombs. Bai Ye is the chatterbox. Sometimes Fo Ye should tell him to be quiet. That Huo Wen Hai is annoying to watch all the time, despite his pretty face and raspy voice. Is he a Huo clan relative? He must be jealous of Huo Xiang Gu as the Gate Master.

Andrew Charles Stokes as Cox Hendry should be credited as a guest role in Mystic Nine Season 2.

Chen Pi was so evil in Season 1. It was too funny to see him eating at the little round table with the other Gates in Beiping, like they were all best buddies.

In Season 2, it looks like he has learnt his drama lessons. He is speaking at regular speed now. LOL When he was interacting with the other characters in Season 1, I used to think they were looking at him, and saying, "Speed it up, Mr Hendry. It's only forty-eight episodes."
