From all the dramas in this drama I have watched so far. Friendly is very rare. Immortality is boring. These Gods…
Yes that's kind of my impression on upper realm gods too but the particular god Xin Mei encountered was pretty friendly and helpful, that's why I was surprised. Maybe it was because he was young and bored and/or mistook XM for an immortal god too.
Because he just wants to be human. He has lived a long life without ever truly experiencing it or feeling like he belonged. He wants to see colours, eat delicious food and live a fulfilled human life that ends.
I feel bad for Bai Zongying too, but I do believe it's part of his character development. Sometimes you need to experience hardship yourself to understand it.
Oh I loved that little moment between Lu Qianqiao and Asheng. She really needed to know that she won't be losing her sister but rather gaining another family member.
I understand your sentiment, but my point is that there is no use demanding anything on this platform, anyone here is simply in no position to give you anything. If you wish for an acknowledgment, apology or removal of the scene, you're simply in the wrong place.
If your goal is to raise awareness, then a singular review or a discussion post with pictures and proof would've suffice. Leaving multiple 1-star reviews and comments like this would achieve nothing and only create a negative impression of Islam on people.
I do think it's taking it too far. Even if they were right and felt disrespected (I, personally don't), there's no need to go on a rant about it here, especially since like you said MDL is totally irrelevant.
Also, no geometrical symbols (even the ones widely used in prayer mats) are exclusive to Islam and no, the prayer mats are not considered sacrosanct. They are simply mats used for prayers. But the particular mat that they are talking about (around 18:18 in ep 21) seems to portray images depicting The Kabah which is considered sacrosanct and serving alcohol on that can be disrespectful. But even so, I really do not see the point of ranting about it here.
But let's hope this time, she actually cares about him a bit. I mean yes, she's going to use him but that might not be the only reason.
