On My Bias, My Boss 3 days ago
Finished the drama and I liked it. It didn't keep me waiting every week, but when I watched, it was pretty enjoyable. The story was generic but I think they used the tropes well and maintained the pacing decently. The ending was also pretty good considering everything.

I also do not hate the Paris bit. Sure, it wasn't absolutely necessary, but it was an okay plot device for the last episode. It allowed Dareum to grow professionally and as a person and showed that their relationship is strong enough to handle little difficulties and their willingness to make sacrifices for each other. And if the writers really wanted to include a separation to complete the trope package, I'd take this over a stupid misunderstanding and unnecessary breakup.

Overall, an 8.5/10 because they managed to avoid most of the things I hate in a romcom.

I don't understand why choi jeong yo didn't let kang pi-o know those thugs got his number or about his dad being…
While I do think he should've told Pio at some point but going to an adult was absolutely the right decision. If he had told Pio first and the two of them had tried to cook a solution by themselves, things would've only escalated and they would've gotten into a bigger mess. I was so pleasantly surprised and relieved to see Jeongyo make such a mature choice and let adults deal with adult problems.

Person Yan An
give this man a drama as a main lead GJM what are you doing??
Well, he is the main lead in Where the Mask Ends and he's supposedly in the talks for another drama from what I've heard.

How far into the story did you get? The main story starts at ep 7 so make sure you stick around till then. If you're still not hooked by ep 10/11, then maybe this drama is not for you.

Changshou's reation to seeing Qi Yuan like that was honestly so impactful, it unlocked whole new layers of Changshou's character beneath his confident and always prepared persona.

This drama is off to a great start! Loved the first episode so much. I really like the tone of this drama and the casting is done so well. Both Lee Junyoung and Song Kang fit their characters really well (except for their age ig but I'll take it). Looking forward to the next ep.

Just a random thought but did they ever explain why baby Shiguang couldn't be raised in Shilin sect with Bai Ze, Ji Ling and others?

Just finished watching and I loved it quite a lot, but it was very draining to watch if I'm being honest. The amount of suffering Tang Lici experienced is insane. The characters were pretty interesting and kind of refreshing and the cast really did a fine job here. This is my first Luo Yunxi drama and he carried Tang Lici so magnificently. I'll probably check out his other dramas too. The plot was overall decent, even if convoluted at times and the mechanisms of the final arc did sort of went over my head but it was still a rather interesting story and I did enjoy my time watching it.

Not Changshou and Ao Yi competing to see who can put a bigger show lol. That fight was absolute gold🤣🤣

I'm also watching Whispers of Fate right now and Ao Ziyi's character Chi Yun always reminded me of Lei Wujie from Blood of Youth, so watching both Ao Ruipeng and Ao Ziyi as chaotic characters here feels like Lei Wujie and Chi Yun in an alternate universe🤣🤣

Should I watch "How Dare You?! 2025" before this?!
Both are adapted from the same novel and follow the same storyline, just different formats. So, you don't need to watch both. You can just watch this one first to avoid getting spoilers and watch that later if you still want to as that's way shorter.

Title Veil of Shadows Spoiler
I didn't quite understand Yuan Wuhuo and Butterfly Demon's whole story, can you explain it to me?
After the OG Yuan Wuhuo went to the cave to die, the original butterfly demons (the twins) tried to absorb his memories on Jiu Ying's command, but Yuan Wuhuo had a very strong will and so it took them years to absorb his memories and ended up losing themselves in the process. As a result, the butterfly twins sort of merged with Yuan Wuhuo and absorbed his two obsessions - protect Ji Ling (Li Jie) and free Ji Ling (achieved by killing him, butterfly demon Yuan Wuhuo).
