The kpop industry is simply too saturated and the idols succeeding has almost nothing to do with how talented they are. Most if not all idols debuting are very talented but only few succeed and unfortunately people from other countries usually find it harder than most.
And I personally would not say Yibo and Yan'an failed in their idol careers. Sure they didn't find mainstream success but Uniq and Pentagon still had substantial popularity and was a decent start for their careers and Neo didn't even debut so.

Yeah I know but from the conversation when JL/CW took their power, it was implied that they'd die if they give up the dragon deity power that's why JL took their own powers instead but of course now we know that it was misleading and not true.
