The book's setting is not of the current time plus even in current time its perfectly understandable for someone to act this way. U can't really be expecting someone from a society like that of taiwan or china to be exactly open minded. Moreover, he didn't do anything extreme....he just didnt act like a liberal raised in USA. For an asian i would say he handled it better than most parents would.

I have written in my profile that anything rated 6 & above is worth watching....that is like 100 dramas. Plz read everything carefully before invalidating my opinion about this drama but its true that i can't be pleased easily.
There r so many boring parts....if u have watched like 10 dramas i think this might be entertaining to u...but as an experienced drama watcher....this is not it.
10/10 for trying but really thats it. The delivery of jokes could have been better....the script is good...it has everything but just the jokes did not make me laugh....on the paper this is a good enough drama but idk i listened to the jokes and i was like ya this is supposed to be funny but it just didn't make me laugh.
