I’m totally down for another season . The last two episodes totally brought it. I want so much more of this chaos.
The star of the show for me is Chain. The whole KinnPorsche, Vegas/Pete thing that Chain and Korn had going on was honestly what kept me hooked till the end. But listen, I will be the first to say there is a lot of sh*t wrong there. Still, I’m really curious to see how that goes.
If you`re looking for no plot, misunderstandings and good NCs this is the show for you lmao.
Don’t forget travel enticements in there too. This season not quite as much maybe, but last season for sure, just smut and travel tour guides thrown together. Which I am surprisingly here for.
I’m watching this for P and Pan. That sweet, cuddly, and sexy scene near the end there, I mean, come on, it was everything. It didn’t even seem scripted. For all this show is lacking, the chemistry between P and Pan makes up for it, at least to my standards.
My friend, I am not seeing light at the end of the tunnel. We should prepare ourselves for the blow.
It’s painful that that is the best scenario, but I don’t at all disagree. I’m not a fan of forced time skips in storylines, but I would make an exception for this.
That's a valid criticism and I can see why you feel that way. I personally like plots the most, when romance is…
Also completely valid. Excellent points. I don’t mean for it to come off as though I’m not a fan of complex stories that are plot driven, I promise that’s not the case. And I also love a good slow burn. My expectations have just needed to be adjusted and that’s where my frustrated criticism is coming from.
Peace had a longer scene with Sun’s sister than he had time together with Sun in all of ep6, and then a majority of that was spent on them talking about Sun’s sister. The description, the poster, everything about this being a BL is completely misleading. I feel baited. Just so I’m not misunderstood otherwise, my complaint isn’t that the show isn’t “BL enough”. I had the same feelings about the kdrama High School Undercover, which also was tagged as an action, crime romance, with the romance being near to nonexistent.
Each episode I’m just left feeling frustrated for the lack of the supposed story that this has been promoted to be. The balance is completely off and I don’t feel anything real between Sun and Peace. Them having any kind of real connection would be the thing that could draw me into this show, but with that being so lacking, I could almost care less. There’s no center; nothing that connects the pieces and parts of the story and characters. It’s just disjointed groups plotting and planning and I don’t even really care about who winds up winning.
I had the same feeling and with Jack & Joker too. I do like all these more complicated plots and all, but I wish…
Yes! Thank you! Perfect point and examples too! I’m all for the complicated and involved storytelling, I just don’t get why there is so little time spent on Sun & Peace (together, not individually per se).
Last week I made a comment about how this series is testing my patience, but I was all for it — it’s a slow burn and all that. This week I’m changing my tune a little bit. I’m not going to lie, I’m completely watching this for the BL premise, but this isn’t to say I’m not a fan of world building and storytelling, I love it all. My issue is that so many parts of the story have been built and focused upon so much more than that of Sun and Peace. We’re almost halfway through the series and I can’t even remember more than like maybe 15 minutes total of screen time with them together, and none of it being all that memorable. Their connection feels lacking, and if they’re just thrown together at this point, I wouldn’t understand any feelings they might have for each other, it hasn’t really been shown.
I don’t feel anything romantic between Sun and Peace at all, they just seem sorta friendly and that’s about it. Again, I’m not complaining that the focus of the story isn’t just BL, there’s lots of characters and action and story arcs to follow. The synopsis is just a bit misleading, that Sun is supposed to “fall in love with Peace”.
There’s plenty of show to see, so I’ll be holding out for hope that maybe Sun and Peace’s story together might get a little more screen time instead of just seeming to be an afterthought in regards to everything else going on.
i really hope we get more exes back to lovers bls cuz i literally cant think of a single other one??
There’s a couple more JBL’s that come to mind. His and The End Of The World With You, both of those fit that theme. And definitely Love Is Better The Second Time Around.
This is good, it’s really good. It’s like the Jurassic Park of BLs, “spared no expense”. It’s done on such a grand scale it has me in awe. And to top it off, the story so far is very interesting and acted really well. I had hoped this would be good and sort of knew it would be, but luckily, it has totally delivered. I’ve got no complaints (other than waiting each week for the next episode is going to be just so hard to do).
There’s something randomly charming about this series that I can’t quite put into words exactly what it is. It’s been enjoyable so far though, which is a bonus because I wasn’t expecting to like this as much as I have been.
Unnecessary. This whole thing was just, unnecessary. It was “cute”, I guess, and started off well enough, but then became a lot of nothing. When will show writers learn that we don’t want to wait until the very last moment for the mains to find their happiness? What was the point of Min Jun asking Jin Hwan to get out of his life, only to confess later that he’ll always come back for him? It was just unnecessary. I don’t like watching people hurt the ones they love because they think somehow it’s for the best for both of them. Or continued miscommunication that could so easily be cleared up with a few words, but instead dragged out until whatever could have been meaningful has instead lost all meaning. And did we really need another confession scene at an airport?! It just makes me want to rant at those involved in making this to please recycle your trash, not your storylines.
