Same! Sometimes I got frustrated with some characters and their decisions in this show but I also can't stop watching!
The frustration is so real! I think that’s why this is so good. You can’t really love or hate a character unless you really believe what the actor is selling you in that role. These guys are doing such a good job because I really feel for these characters. Both the good & bad.

I sincerely dislike flashbacks. When you said how this story doesn’t have to rely on them, I love that! The pacing and storyline have been so well played out.
There’s something sort of refreshingly fun about this. It still has tropes galore, but it really isn’t your typical BL.
I can’t precisely pinpoint why this is so good, but it really just is. Regardless of all the toxicity and red flags, I’m colorblind. When I can find a good Thai BL, they always deliver until the end - which are few and far between these days - but this one keeps getting better and better.
At this point I don’t know if I’m hoping Xiao Fan & Lu Qing breakup or stay together. And honestly I’m starting to not care either way. Any moments of happiness are clouded in shadows of despair. Their whole bittersweet love is leaving a bad taste in my mouth.
Are you caught up on all the episodes? I think the 1st CP is picking up the pace now, their scene in the hotel…
You’re not wrong, I am caught up thru episode 8 and the pace is definitely picking up for the 1st CP. I do love them and their story too, there is just something about the 2nd CP that has captivated me more.

I simply adore and love Hwang In Youp. I’d watch him baking bread. But the second couple in this drama has got ahold of my whole heart. There’s just something about the 1st CP that has been falling flat, and has left the opening for the 2nd CP to steal the whole show. Kudos to the actors as well. They know what they be doing.
I loved this so much. Just put this up there with the other CBLs that have been blowing my mind. I was getting so sick of the GMMTV blah BL bullsh*t that has become so homogenized and bland. And then here comes China, and totally redeems itself! My fave CBLs just keep piling up.

But it’s super weird, and the whole time you’ll be watching it the thought will keep creeping in about how weird it really is, but also how easy it is to just go with it. The weirdest part to me though for some reason is that you don’t get to see the MLs kiss one other at the end in their actual bodies, after swapping back. The kisses throughout are pretty good actually, but like you only ever see them intimate while in the other’s body, and technically kissing their own face. Again, it’s just weird.
The amount of break up make up is beyond. I thought about quitting this. But I’m so glad I didn’t. Besides the large amounts of this that can be perceived as problematic, it was more that I just didn’t really feel the characters, not till near the end at least. At that point I actually wanted to go back and watch it again from the beginning. This is good. It’s got layers and nuance, and it’s a BL. It’s worth the watch.
