Qingyi didn't look like father Li's biological son, he thought his wife cheated on him, that's why he was treated like that in Li family. Whereas as mother Murong raised Boze like her own child, so she was attached to him and couldn't let go. Unfortunately Qingyi got the worst of both worlds.

Susu and Qingyi risk everything for her, bro just walks in being like, "oh she's alive". His way of "protecting" Qingyi is so inhumane, driving both Qingyi and Susu into a corner.
