Totally hate the break up scenes! So stupid. I hate how cold and harsh Han Shang Yan is to Tong Nian in these scenes. I keep skipping the episodes. I’m at ep 24, I hope it gets better...because they have amazing chemistry when they are together.
This reply comes a year after your original comment so maybe you already know but Xiao Zhan is a male lead in…
Wow, you’re so convincing that I feel like watching it right now! I love the way you describe their romance and I’m getting all the more intrigued by how amazing this show is. Will definitely give it a try then :)

Thanks for replying to this comment! Can’t believe this was a year ago, so many dramas passed since then! But yes, I added The Untamed in my list, though I haven’t got the chance and time to watch it yet. I heard there was no romance and it has a lot of action scenes...so I was a quite on the fence about watching it or not. The high rating was pretty intriguing though!
I was about to give this a 10, and I swear the first half made me smile widely because Naoki’s and Riko’s chemistry is too adorable. But then why did they have to ruin my enjoyment on the second half? I’m quite disappointed at Naoki. He’s wishy washy and he seems uncertain about his feelings towards Riko most of the time. I don’t know, he just looks confused to me especially if it concerns his ex. Good thing he’s really hot. But I guess that’s what you get from a guy who jumps into another relationship as soon as he ended one.
There was also a point in the drama, where he lied to Riko (and that involves his ex), which what made so disappointed at him. Because of this, and maybe it was just me, but towards the last few episodes, I don’t believe at what he’s saying to Riko anymore. I feel that they were all lies. I don’t know, I just hate liars, so I didn’t find the last episodes fun anymore.
Another thing I didn’t like was that there was so many air time for Naoki and his ex. God, I hate that woman so much. She’s so selfish and I don’t like the fact that Naoki can still be kind and friends with her after what she did.
Still, the first 7 episodes were really amazing even for an old drama, and I hadn’t expected to like it this much, so I’ll give this a rating of 8/10.
I’m on episode 17, and I’m getting tired of this push and pull between the main leads. I’m like, can you please get together just once??? I’m fast forwarding the episodes now because I want to see some romantic moments. The main leads have chemistry at first, but honestly, I’m at the verge of dropping this. Do you know which episode will the sweet moments come in? Is it near? Should I stay on and be patient?
At first, I took pity on Hao Yi because he doesn’t know that there’s something going on between his gf and the guy who sold to them their new house. But after the latest episode, I’m so mad at him for the way she’s treating Wei Wei. That’s not how you should treat your fiancee, it’s like he cares more about his work even after knowing that his fiancee is sick and unhappy being alone at their new home.
And then after I had gotten over my anger, here I am grinning evilly and saying to myself that Wei Wei falling in love with Ke Huan is bound to happen, and I can’t wait to see Hao Yi’s face by then as he will surely regret that he didn’t take care of Wei Wei more. It will be your loss, man, once Ke Huan steals her. And I say “once” not “if” because again, it’s bound to happen. I mean, who can resist that dimpled smile of Jasper Liu? :)))
Great article, dear! Didn’t expect to like this drama too, because I hate infidelity/cheating. But there’s something about this drama that makes me hooked and causes me to give up my morals! Lol.
