haha Comedy/slice of life and not too big on romance Jdramas are definitely for you then. And your list may be short but I like it. From your plan to watch list I would recommend:
Priceless,
Boss,
Last Friends,
Mop Girl,
Shiroi Haru
Shingami no Seido
For Comedy I would recommend:
Yuusha yoshihiko to maou no shiro,
tiger and dragon,
hana kimi 2007,
Nodame Cantabile,
Unubore Deka,
Manhattan Love Story,
Legal High,
Hungry,
Kisarazu Cat's Eye.
And for slice of life:
Osozaki no Himawari,
Soredemo Ikite Yuku,
Sunao Ni Narenakute,
Life,
Code Blue
And as a bonus:
Liar Game,
Kazoku Game,
Long Love Letter,
Love Shuffle
(even though the last 2 have love in the title they have a lot more than romance to them.)

I'm sitting here thinking about how different shows pop up in my mind and how I miss them, and that makes me realize how I really do put myself into different dramas and live with the characters like you said. It's weird because often I feel like a like a show more now then even when i seen it.
Dude i just watched 13 Assassins and it was awesome!!! Ah, i thought Hara-Kiri was good, and it was, but that was really good. I don't I've ever seen such a long battle seen that didn't get boring. It was great! I liked the mountain guy the best. But what was up with Yamada's wife and the mountain guy's girl being the same actress - Fukiishi Kazue? I'm confused about that. And man the villian was like a Japanese Nero. He was so awful. I was glad when he died and felt fear and pain.

I haven't watched Tonbi yet, but I plan to soon. It's on my list of 2013 dramas to watch.
And yeah I know what you mean about immersing yourself in one drama. It's the same reason why I stopped watching currently airing dramas. Something is lost when you have interruptions of time or other worlds (other dramas). Well, unless you feel like you need an interruption.
But I usually don't have too hard of a time finding something to watch. I've pretty much figured out what I like and I pick dramas that fit those categories.

Yeah Jdramas FTW! You should watch more of them. Try Hana Kimi (2007) Japanese version, and/or Nodame Cantabile.
I know what you mean. I was expecting Nine to take off from the start but it really didn't get going until ep 3 or so. I'm on 14 now and I'm pretty into it. I can only do a Kdrama every once in a while, but when I do decide to watch another one it will be IHYV.
My drama watching is pretty steady, but I usually only watch one drama at a time and I only watch 2-3 eps per day.
I see you put Share House no Koibito on hold after ep 1. I can understand that. I almost dropped it after the first ep also, but I decided to stick with it and I'm really glad I did. It ended up being really enjoyable. It's one of the funniest love triangles I've ever seen.
