Oh wow, I can't believe you studied Japanese books in high school. We never read anything like that in the high school I went to. The idea of reading books by foreign authors is kind of new to me, although it probably wouldn't be if I read more. Well, actually I do read a lot, but only spiritual books. I have only read a few books for entertainment purposes. But I definitely plan to branch out in the near future. I'll check out some of your mentions. BTW, I was born in 88. -_- lol

I'll check it out. What got you reading books by Japanese authors? Did this happen before or after you started watching dramas?

I'll keep that in mind when I start watching Soratobu.

And I know what you mean. When I'm not feeling something and I force myself, I find myself hating it too. That's why I've been adding the tagline, "if your in the mood for it" to my drama suggestions recently.

I did love Crying out Love. I've never read the book, but maybe I will one day. I should read a Japanese book though. Maybe not Crying out Love right away since I recently watched the drama, but I've heard "Norwegian Wood" is really good. Maybe I'll give that a try. What was the title of the book you suggested to me ages ago?

I said it not too long ago - if you're going to be in any type of romance story at all then you better be a marathon…
haha true. Then again, it would be easy to hide a tape recorder in mah fro.

lol yes I forgive you. And yeah, I should have wrote a review, but you know how lazy I am. I hope my comments on the page and the newsfeed were sufficient enough to cause others to watch it. It did cause Akai to watch it so that's good.

I haven't heard of Soratobu Kouhoushitsu until now, but it looks good. I love Aragaki Yui. Is it still airing or is it fully subbed? I'll have to watch it soon.

I've been into sad dramas, sad movies, and anything Eita and/or Yamada Takyuki lately lol. I've seen some masterpieces though. You may have noticed my favorites have changed. Not because I like my old favorites any less but just because I felt like it was time for some new favorites to take the spotlight.

"It's the same story. Advice : watch the movie first. The drama would spoil all the movie suspense, but the movie won't spoil the drama's."

I second Juniko's advice

Yeah, I just finished "Crying out Love." I loved it. It was truly great. Have you seen Byakuyako? It's written by the same guy, has the same actors and is also beautifully tragic.

And... yes The Mystery of Sound Waves Propagation has baffled me the most, especially in anime.

I really liked her in Crying out love! I can't believe she's the same girl that played in Bokura ga ita! She looks better with short hair.

I loved this drama, its slow paced, but beautiful and emotional. One of my all time favourites.
I think it does have a happy ending, relatively anyway. The main character finally moves on after 17 years of pain. Aki still lives inside of him. Memories of her no longer bring pain but now happiness. She caused him to become a doctor, meet Kobayashi, stop Kobayashi from having an abortion, and now is the husband Kobayashi and the stepfather of her child. And all 3 of them are happy now.

Yeah, I noticed the romeo and juliet similarities in this one, especially with the romeo and juliet sumo part to remind me. But I've never seen/read Hamlet. I've got to do that soon lol. It's a shame I know. And I still need to see Crows Zero.

Ah, you decided on putted Hana Kimi in your favorites. It was in mine for a really long time. It's still one of my all time favorites. It's the only drama I've watched 3 times and still LOVE. I see you're watching Atashinchi no Danshi also. I loved that one too. Are you a Maki fan? She's going to be my wifey one day.

I just finished ep 8 of "Crying out Love..." I'm liking it a lot so far. Ep 7 had tears welling up in my eyes. It was during the scene when she tried to killer herself and he gave that speech about how that's not the Hirose that he knows. And then the part with the little boy. Oh and ep 8 was really good to. With the tape about the things he hates about her and his confession and the proposal and the kiss.
