My favorite episode so far!

Wow! I already want to rewatch this episode! Could the dynamics between the entire cast have been any better? Nam Soon and Heung Soo's ramen dinner; Oh Jung Ho being saved once again by his two friends, and sticking up for them in return. Every little reaction and interaction between the teachers. Do we really have to say goodbye to them all next week? :'(

The lunch scene where Oh Jung Ho and his buddies sit down with our main lead guys was probably one of the most hilarious things I have seen so far, with Nam Soon and Heung Soo looking like their date has just been crashed. What looks of annoyance and temperamental disgust before they both split in completely different directions! XD

Aww, the Sunflower!

Finally some dirty secrets unearthed, and they are so obviously falling for each other it's making my head hurt, that's how cute they are. Yamapi's still not really delivering in the acting department, but I can't tell yet if that's just him or the story/script so far..

My Next Addiction?

What do you get when you mix ringing bells, toilet scenes, flashy cars, and women who don't know how to dress? A Kdrama of course! Looks fun so far. Not to mention the abundance of flower boys.

Hot Pink Uniforms! Nice!

To be honest, I started this because of Yamapi. Here's to hoping this drama becomes a favorite for more reasons than that one alone. ;)

So far, so good. The first episode is a quick, crisp intro to the plotline and our characters. Kamiya Naoki is a less than stellar pro-basketball player, with a low salary and no fans. Shirakawa Riko is a violinist without a job. Both are struggling to keep confident about their sport/art. Their first meeting is absolutely lovely. I don't know about their chemistry yet, but they definitely have some good rapport onscreen.

Favorite quote:

-"Riko, you went out without makeup?"

-"Yes...Moreover, I have talked to a man with no makeup on his face."

Sexy Sweat?

Only a Kdrama would work a constipation plot device around so many emotionally charged scenes!

These Omas are crazy! I love them!

It's a fact. This drama is just what I want at the moment. They kiss and fight, and argue and hug, and rearrange the show closet in a tizzy fit, and then be all sorts of cute. The mothers are ridiculous, and yet somehow relatable. The unmarried auntie is adorable... I can just see her on a motorcyles now!

I wonder if he made the Buzzer Beat?!

Cute ending, and we see the reprisal of the fabulous BAKA!! scream, but I wished more of this episode could have been around them being together, instead of tying up all the loose ends. A little too cheesy and cliché, but at least it ended nicely.

Jerks Reign Supreme.. As usual...

Have I ever mentioned how much I hate second lead men who play a sly, underhanded game? !!!! Don't you realize you were cast second, and you'll never get the girl! Not too much going on in this episode between our leads. That's sad.

Favorite Quote: "I pushed [Kamiya] down so I could get the chance to kiss him. What am I going to do? I'm scary."

The End.

Satisfactory conclusions for just about everybody. Some cheesy, some sad, some just plain old whatever. Have to say, even if the show did drive me crazy for 20 episodes, it definitely stays in touch with reality - one if the few things this show really had going for it.

In real life, crazy, ignorant, and immovable people really do exist, and sometimes, they just don't change.

Part-timers

Wow this show is all parts crazy and over the top. I don't know why, but all I can think is that the actors must've have so much fun playing their characters

"Why her?! Of all the women out there, why a woman who takes that kind of [constipation] medicine?!"

Craving Ramyun, Now!

I'm not sure why, but I absolutely how ridiculous and over-the-top Chi Soo's childish character is, especially balanced out with this new sleepy guy. The few scenes they've had together have nearly knocked me out!

Note to self: If some giant guy comes up with a hand-written note saying my father promised me for his wife, I won't squawk too much, especially if he can cook..

My Second Watch

Reliving this drama again... Ahh, everything and everyone is just so cute. Who really needs plot anyways? Such a typical, predictable episode, and yet it's still a fun journey.

Minhyuk:

-"I think I'm in love!" -"Did she even buy you a burger? You always fall for girls who buy you food." "What?!? I was that easy?!?"

And We Hit the Breaks. Hmph

Well that was a lame progression of the story.. Our leads actually spoon! But the second girl strikes back.. Figures. I no longer feel sorry for you. Just give it up already!

Awww, He's good with the Kiddos!

A good follow-up episode. Our leads are getting to know each other a little more (like, their names and everything!), and we get another fun basketball practice game, and one with cute little kids!

Question: Did the show's casting managers hire actors who could play basketball, or basketball players who can act? I would probably fail as shot-hitting extra, assuming I made it past the height requirement.

Favorite quote:

"You're strong! You can play well! Please play seriously, BAKA!"

(It was all in the delivery.. straight out of the mouth of a normally sane woman, momentarily turned crazy!)

Of Reconcilations and Confessions

Something about eating rice together... How could one meal become such a powerful scene? No words, and yet so potent. I love what this drama has done for our main characters. Even more spectacular, how it's slowly drawn in the side characters. Cementing the history between Nam Soon and Heung Soo before making the parallel story of Oh Jung Ho and his groupies was flawless in its execution.

And was anyone else overwhelmed by Teacher Kangs confession at the end? I think that was more emotionally charged than if he'd confessed his love and smooched her. Ohh, how this show makes my heart ache!
