I dont believe its normal to solve problems with murder and i also dont believe that a lot people are actually able to do so, if its necessary. Even though its the only solution, it doesnt mean a person will do it no matter what. Seriously, i hope, only very few people are considering that as rightful. Despite it - i believe there are also a lot other possibilities to prevent him for doing any harm to his daughter. Being already blind is such a disability, but killing is a HUGE ethic conflict and can harm also the murderer (if he has a healthy mind - and thats how Do Yeoung was portraited)

The murder of Jae Joon also disgusted me in a way, that i had to drop my rating significantly for the 2nd part.... For me Do Yeoung was the "missing part" of a human character, which the series lacked and he filled this up to prevent the whole story going only in one direction of ethic principles. He was also the only one asking if revenge can be the only / rightful way - doubting it! Sincerly i was really relieved first, that he embodied this. Killing Jae Joon was so not him, this went over the top and made the series a little bit ludicrous for me. Sad.

I am also not very interested in financial fraud, but this is one of my most favorite dramas actually! Because i think its not really about financial fraud (it just happens to be about it), but the focus is so much more on Justice and seeking for it, where is the line between good or evil, how to rebell against unfair situations, how to withstand and be superior in it together as a team etc. That was really very dominating for me - the financial fraud was just a name for me here or at most managable to go through it for this Drama, because of its astonishing actor skills, being well directed in a very sophisticated and demanding setting etc.

So i hope, this can help others, who were distracted because of the financial fraud issue, to give this rich Drama a deserved chance! :)

Check out the Drama "Remember: War of the sun" It was a hommage to the character Nam Gyu Man (a very intensive villain; they also played the same music in this scene ~ his theme from the mentioned Drama ;)) played by amazing Namkoong Min! :D

Actually if you watch the series with good attention, its obvious that her love for "Holo" always rise after she met with Nan Do (without knowing her first that it is actually him)! I think the directors did a great job to show this to the audience especially when they went out for the "walk to reactivate memories", where she realizes that the "important" moments where mostly Nan Do. ;)

How different opinions can be! Because i think, after seeing a very lot romance stories, that the portrait of love in this drama is the most sincere, well thought of and true way of getting to know and love each other.
Thats how love must be and nothing else. Well executed from director, script writers and actors. For me it was simply amazing! :)

Maybe the Sci Fi part is not for everyone. Sometimes its hard to put oneself in non-existing situations to not feel embarrassed or having a cringy feel, haha.

So did i. I wasnt interested in the lifes of each character or their individual struggles, but more about the portayal of humans dark sides, the psychology behind it, the forseeing of the traumatization after playing such games (and the money become meaningless - its also about the "way how you earn it").

Its very interesting for social science - thats what i meant! And for that its is way better than the average :) Thank you anyway!

And yes, the plot was ridiculous, but that was needed to show the experiment behind it. :D

I didnt like the gore/deaths and the thrills were also not so important. The social part (how persons react, have to deal with such issues) was very well transported and very thrilling. Even the end was "predictable". To experience such games are traumatizing, you wont be able to have a good life with all the money. I think thats what the show intends actually -> That people should realize where they have to draw the line.

I was blown away from his acting in Vincenzo - he really transported every moment excellently - how he must felt about the treatment of his brother and the psychological damage happening from it. I loved to watch his face, reactions. Well done! *clap*

His Dramas are not only comedies, they are politicial and philosophical. Love the messages and how he portraits our world in an amazing way. Deserves a lot of rewards!

So if i watch a whole series called "the basketball flopping to the sky" and await an exciting Drama about sports, but the series is about a dog dying because he got hitten by a basketball of the familys son and its all about the mourning of an animal loving family - i am not allowed to review it bad because the plot obviously didnt interest me from the start (expressed with some exaggeration). People have to distinguish this matter.

You expected a time theory you already knew, but got another new one, which isnt quite easy to follow up. Its okay, if you dont like this theory (the point is: ALL Time Travel theories are just theories and realistic physics based on physics we cant understand till now is even harder to imagine or judge about), but it doesnt make the plot in general bad because you didnt like a time story going another way as you expected.

No, reviews have to be also neutral and objective, its not only about personal taste or personal opinion without being fair enough. Thats a huge difference! For example i cant say "Leonardo Da Vinci is such a bad artist!", just because i dont like or cant appreciate his art and talent due to lack of understanding for it. But i can additionally tell, that i dont like his paintings. So you can ADD the personal feelings by the way, but a review is more the objective scoring you can give about story, music, acting and so on.

Think about talent shows. Only because a participant says something odd before his perfect dance performance, the judge shouldnt say "i didnt like your performance because you are just so an unpleasent person. You are dismissed"

If i feel that i dont understand a plot - i dont score. If i feel i cant get into the story or topic, its not my cup of tea - i also dont score, because its not in my interest -> so it feels not right to vote for it, because i am obviously the wrong audience for judging...

I just think at some point its not fair anymore to Screenwiter&Director.

I love HARD Sci Fi the most! (like Alastair Reynolds, Arthur C. Clarke,..) Your comment saved me - i saw the first episodes now and i am completely blown away - so excited to see more. I am just shocked about the scores - can't believe them. Thank you for your time and description!

There were amazing, gorgeous story parts/scenes, and than there were these crinchy, ridiculous moments where the writing orders your hand to hit the bottom of your face because of its stupidity. :D
But i really enjoyed the drama, the acting from some actors was top material, and the story itself showed a lot Wow-Moments also.
The Beginning and the last 10 episodes i watched in normal speed, the middle was fast-forwarded, i nearly dropped it.... but i am glad, i didn't ;) Rooted especially for the "loyal persons" and of course it was the first 2nd FL snydrome here for me too ;)
In the end i loved the drama because of Yi Sun's progress, being a tough, philosophic (!) King with strong speeches. :)

Love dramas, where the characters mimic's are important for scenes and well executed. Everyone in this drama did an amazing Job with this - unbelievable hilarious! Don't look at the scores, give Bel Ami a chance - for me its outstanding, especially because of the harmony between directing & acting! :)
