I agree with you. Maybe I've just watched too many C-dramas at this point, but I find the plot of this one especially boring.
I also don't like how the FL is written. They're trying to portray her as a lonely genius who eventually blossoms into someone with lots of friends, but it just doesn't ring true to me. I'm on the spectrum, and I've struggled with friendships my whole life, so I really wanted to relate to her, but I just can't. In reality, it's so much harder than this drama makes it seem.
Don't get me wrong, I have a small but very close knit circle of friends, and I'm grateful for them. But there have also been plenty of struggles with friendships and family that the drama completely glosses over. It all feels a bit too simple and unrealistic.
Mango subtitles are something else! LOL... "Fair Sister", " Pray, tell me", "...ravish me so?" Wut? Its making it unnecessarily cheesy and hard to watch.

I know, I mean there is night and day difference between whatever is going on in this drama with her makeup and her other dramas. The makeup here is doing grave injustice to her, she not only looks aged up but tired too. And you can clearly see how cakey/powdery the make up with the bazillion close up shots they are doing.
Im sorry but at this point with so much betrayal, this is just getting boring. Is the show following the novel? The writing and dialogues seem no better than those 10 min short dramas. Even with the star power of the leads, its getting redundant...

LMAO Acting solves authenticity everywhere else like adults play teens, strangers play lovers... yet this one role, romancing a grown man, uniquely required a real minor. I think this one definitely hit a nerve somewhere since a wholeass association came after them! Coz so many other professions and organizations are also portrayed in the negative on a regular basis but no one raises such hoopla over fictional work. I hope the authorities look into it.
