One of the best dramas to be released in 2024
I loved the Double i think it’s definitely one of the best dramas that have been relased this year so far. The story, acting, cinematography was simply beautiful and extraordinary. I applaud the actors, especially the actress that played princess wanning and the actor playing Shen yu rong. They slayed, devoured their roles really well, showcasing just how villainous and unredeemable their characters were. Additionally, I really liked the pacing of the double i never felt bored throughout as it was very engaging. Despite how good it was, i think i would given it higher than 8 if the execution of the deaths of the characters were carried out properly as it wasn’t that satisfactory seeing how villains died by their own hands also would’ve preferred if the ending of the story wasn’t so rushed. Even so, i really enjoyed this drama and reccomend to anyone who wants to watch. Was this review helpful to you?

A solid 8 episode Korean horror drama but with minor flaws
It was a pretty solid horror drama that had amazing visual effects, story and music. The beginning for me was a little flat and was quite boring, I struggled a little to get past the show that but midway is where things started to take off. I read a few reviews and a lot of people have said how dumb the characters are but I think it was realistic because we are humans and in situations where you want to save a friend or a loved one, at that moment, your head isn't really in the right place. A few things that I liked about the characters were how strong portrayed the female lead Se A was and throughout the whole story she didn't need any saving. Though the acting was a bit of a let down, especially at the beginning of the show, it didn't feel convincing enough that these high school students were all friends but it started to improve in the later parts. A character I felt the most lost about was Kang Mi Na I know they pushed out a jealous and hateful side character to make the story more dramatic but I think that with her personality lacking depth it didn't add much to the show but rather just confusion on why Mi Na was obsessed with a boy. The premise of the show could be better because It is a recurring theme with the themes of fighting over a boy and being the heart break of female relationships which, I believe is too redundant and becoming dislikable. Another thing that I saw was people saying the way the curse started was weak. I can understand why people thought it wasn't too much of a strong reason for Do Hye Ryeong to want everyone to die but considering her age and the school environment, I personally felt the reaction was normal. Imagine your best friend who you trust to keep your secret uses your secret against you and makes you the target of all the rumours that aren't even about you? It would make you crumble and feel like you lost all your will there to feel anything.Overall, the drama was slow at the start but managed to keep the story together.
I don't know much about Korean shamanism but this drama made me more aware of it.
I'd say it's worth it to watch the drama but if you have seen these types of horror shows a lot then I wouldn't recommend if you are too highly critical of shows that have repetitive tropes.

Comedic, lovely, a drama you won't regret watching
A really fun drama with an unexpected twist. The romance wasn't so heavy but I think I enjoyed it a lot more because it managed to showcase love through actions and the leads' chemistry were on fire. Though, I think it would've benefited from having more episodes, as some scenes were rushed and lacked a bit of explanations. Overall, a well put together short drama, I highly recommend for anyone who wants a nice, chill, drama to unwind down to.Was this review helpful to you?
Compelling feminist story
I enjoyed this movie and it shed a light on the issues of women in work, pregnancy and the gender disparity. It was very vulnerable and raw emotions, the acting was done exceptionally well with how the actress managed to portray that side of Kim Ji Young when she dissociates from herself. It made a strong point of demonstrating that in this patriarchy society men are not going to be reliable and shouldn't view them as dependable in any shape of way. Even if it's your brother, your uncle your father any male significant other, it doesn't mean they don't have that same mentality. Women should put them selves first and you are always going to feel safer or more connected to woman than to a man because we simply live in two different worlds where both genders are not treated the same. Was this review helpful to you?
Acting, storyline, development are all good story of the kunning palace is amazing!!
Ah! I really enjoyed watching the story of the kunning Palace. The story, acting, visuals were all magnificent! It is definitely one of the bests cdramas to come out this year. Moreover, the characters especially xie wei who was played by the actor Zhang Ling He, gave such a phenomenal performance. I was really impressed with how he protrayed Xie Wei as a man who has been thorough so much hardship thus devloping a cold and shrewd personality. He is someone that I am looking forward to seeing more of his works and how his acting can further progress. However, I would also like to mention that at some points during the drama i did feel like he over dramatised xie wei’s character a little bit which came as kind of scary? But nonetheless he put on a good performance! As for Bai Lu, I am pleased with how she presented ning’er as a character. I think she did a wondeful job in showcasing her fragile side and how strong and smart she is. I want to give an overwhelming praise to yan lin’s actor as his character development really warmed my heart with how the actor managed to show just how much of a silly but really sweet boy he was. (i fell so hard when he was fighting in last few episodes, he looked so badass 😭) and ofc the actor who played zhang he i love you such a handsome man but his acting was really flawless i really think he put on a good performance in showcasing how self righteous. zhang he’s character was. Furtheremore, I think the story for kunning palace was executed pretty well but towards the ends it felt a bit rushed like the pace was inconsistent, so that kind of took the ratings down. Additonally, i felt like towards the end the director could’ve made the character’s deaths more vile because truly makes no sense how them being killed of just like that was a “satisfactory” ending for the viewers. Anyways i really did enjoy this cdrama and heavily reccomend for anyone who wants to watch. :)Was this review helpful to you?

Amazing characters and compelling story! ~
I loved this drama and and was impressed by the cgi and the production of this. The characters were all amazing and I loved how they built their backstory really well like I felt we got to really know them. The pacing was perfect ofc although i think it deserved more episodes because i feel that it being 40 kind of had and impact on the ending but regardless the progression with bai shou and fan yue’s relationship was done splendidly. I especially want to praise the actor who played chong zhao and the hidden lord like that was incredible that he managaed to pull off playing two different actors without making them feel the same. I was also adored by Bai Lu’s acting and ever since watching the kunning palace her crying scenes are always selling like shes really talented and I cant wait to see more of her works. The story was really good and kept me engaged and there was never a point where i felt bored but i think it had more potentital to change things up a bit but overall really nice drama. I must say that the ost for this drama is freaking insane i love it so much. This might be too much but I genuinely think that this is one of the best romance dramas out rn that I’ve watched. It has a great storyline and no toxicity and no silly misunderstandings just a healthy relationship between the two leads. It wasnt over bearing and really simple to follow along and I was entertained. I would highly recommend this to anyone whos just looking for a show they can laugh and enjoy! Was this review helpful to you?
