Okay after finishing EP 4, I really hope we get to see some better kisses between these two. I'd rather have no kisses then dead fish kisses tbh.

I think I've watched too many k-dramas at this point 🥲. I immediately clocked the radio DJ in episode 1 as one of two actresses (based on just her voice)-- came here and confirmed I was right.

Regardless, the title itself "absolute value" implies that the ending will not be negative. Even if they don't end up together (personally, I hope they don't), they will have gained something positive from the romantic escapades of the show. At least that is my interruption -- or they just named it that way because he is a math teacher and it's not that deep, who knows 🙃

Okay, so Mr. Yoon and Mr. Jung actually have a backstory that could make a BL ship sail. It probably won't happen, but I'll hold out delulu hope.

😂 I feel like this comment is just getting hate from weird fanatics because it actually gives a very detailed review of why the show was disappointing. I'm with @zamperx... Your comment was very helpful/informative and made me decide to not give this a watch right away, because given the marketing, I too was expecting at least some BL aspects, which it sounds like there are none.

100% her crush is normal. If he reciprocates, then it's an issue. It's not only age, but a power imbalance.

It's not clear yet. It just ends with ML saying (via math metaphor) that he wants to understand her, but then it freeze frames, which to me felt like they were implying romance between the two. Plus, the preview makes it clear FL at least is crushing on him (personally I think it's fine for a teenage girl to crush on an older adult, but I don't want him to reciprocate, because that would be predatory).

Still the funniest K-drama I've watched in a while. However, the weird romance vibes at the end of EP 8 gave me the ick. Still hoping it doesn't go down that route.

In his recent interview with W Korea, Nam joo-hyuk-ssi said he wants to do a melodrama or romantic comedy next!!! That's what I want too🤞🏻💕

I'll probably keep watching because I'm curious about the cliffhanger, but after that, I'll need something more to keep me interested.

I really don't understand all the people saying "THIS IS SO FUNNY" and "I COULDN'T STOP LAUGHING LOLOL" (both here and on reddit). I haven't laughed once. Is it lighthearted? Sure. But I have yet to find the comedy.

I'm nervous that FL will get found out by her readers, now that the teachers will be featured on TV... Praying for my girl 🫣

Also it's funny how he stopped caring about her math hw, and just cares about the novel now. 😂

I really hope they don't go this route. I am enjoying it as a comedy, adding in romance between them would ruin it for me.

I started this out of sheer curiosity (as an avid BL consumer) and I am actually surprised at how much I like it. Episode 6 was peak. The cringiness of having to sit next to your teacher while he reads a BL novel inspired by him-- I was 💀💀💀.

I've watched a lot of K-dramas at this point, and I must say the number of ads in this one has to be the most egregious. A lot of them were short one-shots, but they really covered every category they could possibly think of.
