0 chemistry between main leads, she’s giving older sis vibes and ml acting like a goofy doesn’t help.
The leads chemistry in this drama is so beautiful. The way you can feel the love even when the ML can't see her, but know she's there. I don't know how you can watch episode 29 and not be moved.
"If only you missed me as I miss you, you'd remember me for 100 years."😭 The devotion and love Duan Xu has for Si Mu is beautiful. When he gifted her color at his wedding so she could see him in his red wedding attire. 😭
I came in expecting to gag, but the real culprit was so obvious, all the females were written terrible (aside from the FL's friend), the romance was lackluster, and as much as I love PMY her acting was so stiff that I truly felt nothing during her crying scenes. I say that all to say that it wasn't terrible but it's not something I'd ever watch again or, quite frankly remember in six months because it didn't leave much of an impact.
*Yan Ke* had a 300-year leg up to woo and actually understand Si Mu. It wasn't until the ML came into the picture that he finally understood what she liked and started to apply actual pressure. The fireworks were a nice touch, but he should have done that 200 hundred years ago.
He thought that no one else in the world was more suited for her than he was and that's why he never got her.
I'm lowkey annoyed. Why have them finally be together, and then twenty minutes later have them end the relationship? We couldn't get a full episode of seeing them date? 😭
Am I the only one that thinks Park Min Young is waaaaaaaaay too skiny??????? I've seen her in so many dramas,…
She stated she got extremely skinny in this drama for the role. It took her a couple of years to gain back the weight from Marry My Husband so don't be surprised if she's the same size in her next drama.
The screenwriter killed off her husband by giving him a tumor and half a year to live. Like that wasn't terrible…
The pregnancy plot was not necessary at all, I agree with that. It's not that the writer had one sad ending and one happy ending. It's that everyone but Jelly Lin's character and her husband had a happy ending (Even the guy who ran the hotel became successful and had a family). Her being miserable 90% of the drama wasn't enough, they had to take her husband away and have her live alone in another country. The writer couldn't even let her get her ultimate dream of being an actress. For the life of me I don't understand why out of all the characters she had to be the sacrificial lamb.

Not waiting. She was a widow. She never remarried. She was alone in Paris after her husband died for like 20 years. She went through the worst in the drama and had the worst ending in my opinion.

And lets not forget that she never got to live her dream as an actress. When Bai Yu's character got to finally become a script writer and produce movies, I thought that'd be a shoe-in way to get her character some semblance of happiness. But nope, the scriptwriter just wanted her to be miserable.
I love how the sisters and grandma all represented a pecticular season. I do wish the second couple had more time together because I would have loved to see their dating era but overall I think the drama was beautifully written and all the main characters were likeable--the doctor girl can choke and lose her license for all I care, though.
What a waste of time watching this. Did the screenwriter have a personal issue with Jelly Lin because I swear…
The screenwriter killed off her husband by giving him a tumor and half a year to live. Like that wasn't terrible enough it seems like she's been all alone for the past twenty years in Paris. But every other character seemed to be happy and thriving in their couples.
What a waste of time watching this. Did the screenwriter have a personal issue with Jelly Lin because I swear he was on a mission to make her character miserable? I hated so much how her story arc was written.
This guy actually did well on Always on the move though. But his writing on female character sometimes will definitely…
Always on the Move is one of my favorite dramas. But yes, even in that drama and Born to Be Alive some of the female characters could have been written better. I did like the FL in Always on the move and Zhuang Zhuang in this one. But for some reason he can't write multiple good female characters. Even in Born to Be Alive although I enjoyed it, he constanstly made the FL incompetent at times.
I watched the whole thing, and I'm still confused at when exactly these two fell in love? Overall very forgettable and lackluster drama. The only upside is that this is the first time I've ever considered Xu Hai Qiao somewhat attractive.
