I enjoyed it for the most part but I feel cheated out that we didn't get 14 episodes like the other 2. A longer dating era would have been a nice touch and a chance to really experience their wedding.
I wonder if billing will effect the male leads positions and screen time because one of them is the FL’s romantic…
I wonder if they'll just combine the character into one instead of doing two different male characters. I haven't read the book so I don't know if that's possible. But I remember a writer did that for another drama (there was three ML's) and she just combined them as one; adding in their attributes.
Yumi and Babi's relationship felt more mature than Yumi's relationship with Woong. He was more considerate, thoughtful, and really pushed her to achieve her goals. I liked that about him, but him having feelings for Yumi while being engaged in season 1 was always a red flag, and I kept that in the back of my head the entire time. Their breakup honestly was needed.
And if I'm being honest I don't think I got to learn a lot about Babi. Last season we got to understand Woong because we saw his cells and heard his POV at times. I don't recall that with Babi. And the man was already pretty bland so that was another notch against him.
Overall I think this season was good as the first. I can't wait to start the last season.
The only time FL character was bold was when she stood up to her mom. All of the time she was timid, she didn’t…
What are you talking about? Was she not bold in confessing her feelings to the ML? Was she not bold putting her foot down and continuing her major when her mother was against it? Picking the ML in class, even when the other girls were interested? Flying to see the ML and telling him not to move to Singapore, and, of course, refusing to go back home with her mom?
Like I said she was bold when she had to be. Just because you didn't like how she didn't stand up in certain situations that don't align with your perspective doesn't take away any of the times she did. She was a well-written character. And it's quite weird, you have a lot of energy towards the FL and none towards the ML. Without the FL's boldness, they wouldn't have made progress in their relationship.
I wasn't kicking my feet up and smiling when watching this but it wasn't a terrible watch. A solid 7/10. As an introvert myself, I did like how the FL was portrayed, and she was bold when she had to be.
Also I hated the glossy beauty filter they added on the drama it was very distracting.
As I watch this drama, I'm confused, then I think I got it, only to be confused again. I honestly don't understand what's happening 90% of the time. Subconsiously, I think I'm sticking around for the pretty people and aesthetics because the plot is very convoltued.
