Why are so few people watching this masterpiece on here? The acting, the writing, and the tone of this drama is perfection. I hope it's doing well in China.
I feel like I watched 2 and a half hours of nothing. Good thing both ML's and the FL were pretty to look at, so I don't feel like I completely wasted my time.
I don't know what this story is about but one thing we can count on when it comes to this screenwriter is that the FL will be strong; be in intelligence, strength, or wit. She's not going to be a pushover or some damsel in distress.
This is a typical family drama so if you're not use to long dragged out plots then this may not be the drama for you. I had to do quite a bit of skipping (like the FL's mothers love story, the brothers love story and the 2fL and the FL's boss scenes).
The FL has a very strong and dominant personality so she may not be everyone's cup of tea but after episode 2 I think she mellows out and you can tell she's a genuinely kind and considerate person. I loved her from the first episode but again she's not for everyone.
The ML on the other hand was okay. He came off a bit standoffish and antisocial but he wasn't bad until maybe 3/4's into the drama (because that's when his ex forces herself back into his life).
I did overall enjoy the drama and I found the chemistry between the leads to be quite strong even with all their bickering (I actually enjoyed the bickering). I think when the 2FL was introduced and then stamped in front of the ML my love for this drama kind of diminished (it's an 8 but it had the potential to be a 9). I found the 2FL to be pathetic, obsessive, and borderline psychotic and it didn't sit right that after all that she did, was basically shaken off because "she truly loved the ML".
Props to the ML's mother and ML's nephew. They were real ones and always on the FL's side. The MIL said it best, "I will accept no one but Xia Ran (FL) as my daughter in law" and she meant that with her whole chest.
A Good Day To Be a Dog's biggest mistake was airing the episodes 1 time a week. Then there were a couple of delays where no episode was released in that week and 14 episodes was actually quite excessive for a plot this weak.
I see a lot of people comparing this to perfect marriage revenge. Understandable. If you read enough transmigration/time travel/reborn webtoons you know a lot of the storylines are similar. The character usually dies one of three ways. Murder, hit by a truck, or an illness.
People usually come back to the past either for revenge or try to live a life of solace. This story isn't a stolen idea, it's just a common trope that I personally never get tired of.
I don't know who the bigger star is between Ju Jing Yi and Chen Zhe Yuan but in reality it shouldn't even matter. If it was in Ju Jing Yi's contract that she must have first billing and it was agreed upon and signed then there should be no discussion. There's clearly a lot of foolery and unprofessionalism behind the scenes (I'm not talking about the actors).
1)is there love triangle? if there how much deep it is ?2)when do leads will be together3)is there any breakup?…
1.) No. Honyi does like the FL for a good portion of the drama but nothing comes of it and it's not reciprocated by the FL. The ML also likes the Peacock princess but that doesn't last long. 2.) They get together pretty early. EP 12 is when there romance starts 3 Yes. They break up but the first time it's by force (EP 14 because his love ties are removed) and when he falls in love with her again he doesn't continue the relationship . They aren't full together until EP 36 4.) Yes.
