From what I understood, TLI starts in-between Bai Jue's death and revival because I didn't hear about Bai Jue's revival in that drama... I vaguely remember them mentioning about a true god (Bai Jue) sacrificing in stead of the supreme true god (Shang Gu). However, they changed the names in that drama so I am that sure.

Atleast they didn't make it cliché with all that snake-bite drama, which is usually the case in many dramas. I'm also hoping it won't go down the same track as KMLM... But one thing for sure - Liu Xue Yi is looking more handsome in these village robes..

The plot is unique, and the acting & chemistry is really good. But, the execution of the story falls short in delivering the angst it promised in the trailer, at times. Honestly, the side characters are all forgettable and seem like a crowd that's only there to make the drama Look populated. The later half is far better than the first half of the drama. In my opinion, it's still worth a try..
Honestly, I’m still stuck on episode 1 and already feeling unsure about continuing, since solid plot and good-written characters are my weaknesses. No matter how talented Xue Yi is, even he can’t save a show with a shaky storyline... Guess it’s time he started picking stronger scripts! Thanks for the review, Jacky!

This drama is more about seeing the inner beauty and finding confidance in our true-selves. For ML, its about falling in love with the soul of a person and for FL, its about finding confidance in her looks which are said to be ordinary.
As for forgiveness matter - Tang Qi did get mad at her after finding the truth but it was before they actually start dating.
Secondly, while Su Cheng Cheng was wrong to opt such drastic measures against Tang Qi, but, its not that he never was at fault at all. He couldn't take 'NO' from Su Miao and had been too persistent even after her death drama, which led to futher consequences. So, he can't blame it solely on Su Cheng Cheng. He realised this and decided to pursue the real Su Cheng Cheng after she told him the truth of Filter.
Those snowfall scenes in last episodes😍 Tong Hua is hinting us again that it's none other than Xiang Liu who's reborn as Tang Qi❤️ I'm not just fanatasing, am I?😁
