I think Song Hye Kyo would be better if she was given an antihero or villain roles for a change... tired of seeing…
Well I started Let Me Be Your Knight when it started airing and I really regretted it. It was very good but the 1 episode a week was torturous! I stopped on Ep 5 and now I’m just going to wait till it’s done then go back and watch it all. And yes, you are probably right about the gender roles - most people wouldn’t bat an eye if the man were older but I feel even the same about that. My grandfather was 10 years older then my grandmother and most people didn’t think anything about it back in their day - granted they were in their 20s/30s when they married but still…..I think, for me, 10 years would be my limit either way - younger or older. I know everyone else has their own standard but to me it’s just really weird seeing a 20-something actor being paired with a 40-something actress.

Yeah that’s why I think I’ll just wait and see how this one goes before I start it..I usually wait for several episodes to air before I start a drama that is currently airing - only because I hate waiting for the episodes from week to week. But I have noticed a pattern with her being paired with younger men all the time. While I don’t mind noona romances, some of the men are young enough to be her son - the age gap is just too much, imo. I feel like 10 years is a limit, 15 is really pushing it and anything above that is just kind of creepy. I’m sure others will disagree but it’s just my opinion. We will see how this plays out - it may be that this will be a good one to watch because the ML is a favorite of mine.

Yeah her acting has nothing to do with her divorce. She’s not a favorite of mine. Would have liked to have seen a different actress in the FL role - I know there is no romance tag but I’ve seen those tags added after or just before a drama starts. I’ll follow this one before I start it once it airs.
This was cute and fun but the last episode left a lot of unanswered questions. Who was the father of Chan? Was the 2FL his half-sister? Who was the guy who wanted to buy the place at the end and what is his relationship with Chan? We need a S2 for answers! Overall I liked this one.
ML father is a cheaterFL is a cheater. She had a BoyFriend and was having an affair with ML.FL friend is a skank.ML…
I don’t see an emotional affair at all. The ML obviously likes her before she leaves her boyfriend but she only stays friends with ML - I think she admired him for how he started his business on his own and stuck with it despite coming from a wealthy family. Then she saw how he struggled when he became paralyzed and kind of felt sorry for him at first - then admired him more for his determination and will power. I guess we just look at it differently.
Ohh thank you. I’m fairly new to Asian dramas (started watching in 2018) so I’ve been trying to find some of the older dramas to watch. This is a great starting point.

Whoa wait..I’ve been watching this the past week and the FL did not cheat - she developed a good friendship with the ML. I’m on episode 15 and I’ve not seen any cheating by her nor the ML. It’s clear he has fallen for her first and she is no longer with her BF at this point so she is opening up to her feelings for ML more. She wasn’t even sure she was developing feelings for ML while with her BF - it was obvious to us but not to the character so to say she cheated - no. I’ve not seen any evidence of ML being a “borderline cheater” - does that happen later? What exactly is borderline?
I watched the last episode without eng sub, but I think, the ML entered the comic world and he became FL's lover
I think the mom wrote the character as the son she hoped and wished her son would be - remember he didn’t talk or socialize much in the real world - but in the comic at the end he was far more outgoing and assertive. I loved the ending. I think by her, FL, going into the real world, she changed the real world son’s life so he could be more social and eventually find his true love.
This is just so sad. I really feel for him. He was so utterly trashed by people and then when all was revealed those same people thought by just cheering him on would make it better - it doesn’t work that way. You don’t get to humiliate a person then try to take it back - the damage is already done. I hope he gets whatever help he needs to feel better about himself this year and make a strong comeback in 2023. He deserves to be happy.
